your average CMC is 2.83, i don't know if the three talisman and 2 signet are really worth it.

  1. I would swap the 5 of them for something similar to Mirkwood Bats that you already have.
  2. Agate Instigator for extra damage whenever you create a token
  3. Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon + Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim + Blood Artist
  4. Warleader's Call is a nice addition also since you already have All-Out Assault
  5. Isshin, Two Heavens as One to trigger additionnal Mobilize/Myriad.
  6. Feel free to look at my version Mardu, meat token dispenser

Looks good (but a tad bit expensive :)). Reconnaissance can act as a second Maze of Ith, which is very useful for both Kaalia and Master of Cruelties. Isshin, Two Heavens as One is awesome too, as he allows Kaalia to trigger twice per attack.

My main play group runs various flavors of Goad, or combat manipulation (we love swinging at each other). Why swing at other people, when you can force them to hit each other? A few suggestions off the top of my head:

  • Karazikar, the Eye Tyrantfoil/Kardur, Doomscourge - Either of these could be the commander of the deck. Karazikar simultaneously incentivizes and punishes your opponents for smacking each other. Playing in Red/Black also opens up access to all the direct burn stuff in Red, as well as attack trigger group slug like Hellrider, Vicious Conquistador, or Far Fortune, End Boss.

  • Breena, the Demagogue - Help your opponents draw cards from hitting each other. The access to white also gives you plenty of options for the Ghostly Prison effects in white, plus its suite of removal.

  • Gonti, Night Minister is a new option that could also slot into the 99 of some of the other commanders mentioned above. The theft aspects will likely draw the ire of the table, but if everyone is stealing from everyone...

  • Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos or Slicer, Hired Muscle  Flip- You could donate a big Voltron threat around the table and make the table kill each other for you. One of my friends runs Alexios, and it feels like a game of hot potato with Voltron damage. Technically, you're not the one hitting people.

  • Nelly Borca, Impulsive Accuserfoil can Goad your opponents creatures, but also rewards your opponents for hitting each other. You can Goad everyone while hiding behind the Ghostly Prison/Propaganda effects.

  • Isshin, Two Heavens as One can be built as a combat control deck, since he checks the attack triggers on most stuff I previously mentioned, and house those all in his 99. Additionally you can run stuff like Lightmine Field and Caltrops.

  • The Lord of Painfoil is a lot of fun to play as a commander, and to play against. Maybe my friends and I are just masochists. A couple of my friends run the Lord of Pain as a commander, and typically play it very politically, where they "donate" the option to target the damage. You don't have to swing, and can run all the burn and damage multipliers to your heart's content.

Flarhoon13 on Tetsuo Umezawa's Parachute Pants and Infinite Mana

May 3, 2024 I started a new quest. Having built 52 decks, I endeavoured to play them all, in roughly the same order as I created them. My first commander deck led by Zur the Enchanter *f-etch* blew out and demoralized my opponents. Rubinia Soulsinger gained the upper hand and all opponents conceded 2-0

Tetsuo Umezawa's Parachute Pants and Infinite Mana: lost long game to Isshin, Two Heavens as One. Possibly could have won... Tired, two opponents dead, I attacked, which killed me on a board where I was safe after having Cyclonic Rifted and kicked Rite of Replication on Champions of Minas Tirith 2-1. Kess, Dissident Mage will be the commander going forward

Nice I like the big legendary theme. A couple of ideas: 1 you can change all your basic lands to Snow lands for Search for Glory. 2 if you've got room to cut something, maybe Nahiri's Resolve. It's also redundancy for giving all creatures Haste. There's a few ETB creatures that can benefit, along with Kaya the Inexorable. I'm looking to make an Isshin, Two Heavens as One deck, so I may have some more ideas afterwards. I also like Requisition Raid for flexible artifact and enchant removal

Last_Laugh on Question Regarding Stacking Triggers

So I have Isshin, Two Heavens as One, Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher (w/ 2x +1+1 counters), and Hero of Bladehold equipped with Anduril, Narsil Reforged (w/ cities blessing) in play and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation  Flip in my grave.

I attacked w/ Carmen and Hero of Bladehold. Am I able to stack my triggers so that Carmen gets 2 counters (from Anduril) making her 6 power so I can return Ojer Taq, then 12 tokens enter from 2x Hero triggers, then 2nd Anduril trigger, and then the 2 battle cry triggers?

Breena, the Demagogue is certainly aggro & capable of winning with more players at the table. The precon was poorly constructed (IMO) to make you think it needs to be a political deck... Or you just pluck those cards & replace them with proactive aggro... and you don't need to add massive card-draw filler/fluff because the commander nets you easy early game card-draw. Mistmeadow Skulk & Needle Specter become easy powerhouses.. Really any low cmc lifelinker suddenly finds new life in this deck. Believe me, if you are pumping a lifelinker with +4/+4 on your turn, then possibly another +2/+2 on their own turns, your opponents often do think twice about taking advantage of that card draw clause.

Players commonly misinterpret this commander, it is: "EACH time a player attacks an opponent with more life" -- so it is quite easy to suddenly place +4/+4 on one of your creatures & draw 2 cards because your opponents had different life totals. You just need a few low-cmc creatures around, a very easy prerequisite & the commander functions just for being on the field instead of requiring haste. On top of that it is 3 CMC. I usually pump my field (instead of going Voltron) & that lends itself to control, my opponents HATE having to spend removal on Needle Specter but they find they pretty much have to unless they feel they can just afford to discard 3-5 cards on turn 4 or so. My version is probably less aggro than what you would go with, but it is more based on proliferate & walkers + aggro.

Isshin, Two Heavens as One also accomplishes what you want nicely. I would say that is less "build out of the box", less budget-friendly, & probably needs a little more card-draw fluff since the commander does not do that on his own.
