Well if you are insistent on staying mono green I would say you need at least 4 more land. Even though you have mana dorks you want to make sure you have at least a couple of lands in your hand. One land I would recommend is Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, War Room, Path of Ancestry, and Scavenger Grounds. As for what to drop for those lands (or more forest) I would drop Gilt-Leaf Archdruid (you only have 12 Druids and 1 druid maker of 100 cards highly unlikely you will have enough druids in play), Wolverine Riders (too slow for what he does), Birchlore Rangers (you already have much much stronger mana dorks), and probably Dwynen's Elite (just not very good at what it is doing).

other creatures to consider putting in the deck over a couple of others. Galadhrim Brigade you mentioned lords, Lys Alana Huntmaster (better token producer than the Dwynen's Elite), Wellwisher (a staple in every elf deck usually), and Ivy Lane Denizen (comboes exceedingly well with your commander, Joraga Warcaller, Haldir, and Lorien Lieutenant).

Also you are missing a bit of interaction.

If you want to go wide I recommend considering either Lathril, Blade of the Elves (would give you some fun and evil mana outlets, and would let you use your Tyvar to greater affect) or Rhys the Redeemed (for truly going wide with an obscene amount of tokens) and again I got more if you want me to keep going with the suggestions let me know.

wallisface on Will Squad Ever Appear in …

DemonDragonJ doing a gatherer search of squad cards, i’m just seeing these 7:

For all of these, having the squad costs only costing is far too low for Standard, and would make the cards too powerful. Realistically most of these costs would need to have a squad cost of (Arco-Flagellant could be if it didn’t have its endurant ability, but Sicarian Infiltrator might have to even be conceivably depending on the set it was put into).

I think even in Modern some of these might be a little too obnoxious. Most of them aren’t really playable, but Galadhrim Brigade and Sicarian Infiltrator might cause issues and might need their squad costs upped to (though tbh they’d probably be safe).

legendofa on Why is Squad a Cast …

I don't know if this is the intended reason, but it does make it more of an investment into the spell itself. This is relevant for counterspells and effects that care how much mana you paid for a spell. (Is there anything like this? I think I remember seeing this sort of effect that cares how much mana you pay, but my search skills are failing me.) So, if you cast Galadhrim Brigade and add for two Squad tokens, you lose all of that if it gets countered. As an ETB ability, you can cast the spell, see if it resolves, then dump a bunch of mana into making tokens. It just forces you to pay a little more attention to how you're spending mana.

It's also slightly different from replicate. Hatchery Sliver shows how replicate would work on a creature--it's a cast-triggered ability, not an additional cost. There's probably some deep rules implications for that.

I wouldn't mind seeing more Squad.

Morning my fellow Ballers!

So just going to wade in here, but Joraga Warcaller does work super well with Immaculate Magistrate. A deck like this, that makes sooooo many elves, a simple tap can make your whole board MAHOOSIVE!

Its a sweet deck, and i honestly was not aware of Galadhrim Brigade. I have a simple cut in mine and will replace elvish ambush Think its just better.

If you fancy a look, here is my deck also Golgari Elves. Used to be Selesnya with Karamtetra as commander, but just perfer dem durty Golgari Elves.

oh yeah, +1 as well to you as well

Hi Romer! I know! I run the same deck and making cuts is so hard, just too many good elf cards.

One question I don't really know which is better and also myself am struggling with. Maybe it's an idea to take Joraga Warcaller out for Galadhrim Brigade. I use Joraga only with a kicker so paying 3 mana, what is the same cost of Galadhrim (then both will give +1/+1). The kicker has the same price as the squad (2 mana). Shouldn't Galadhrim's squad ability give us copies which will count as elfs? This would give a little bit more advantage for Circle of Dreams Druid, Elvish Archdruid, Priest of Titania or Wirewood Channeler. Or won't they count as elfs?

Also Collected Company and Genesis Wave are worth watching, gives me a great advantage now and then. Especially the last one when I have a lot of mana on the table. I'm def gonna follow your deck cause it gave me some cool new cards for my deck!
