Fallaji Wayfarer

Creature — Human Scout

Fallaji Wayfarer is all colours. This ability doesn't affect its colour identity. (It can be in any deck whose commander's colour identity includes green.)

Multicoloured spells you cast have convoke. (You may tap your creatures as you cast those spells. Each creature you tap while casting a multicoloured spell pays for or one mana of that creature's colour.)

DreadKhan It doesn't really apply here, but convoke (and similar effects) with that would be a good option. Fallaji Wayfarer, We Ride at Dawn, Dazzling Theater / Prop Room, Peri Brown, Earthcraft, Cryptolith Rite, and Relic of Legends come to mind.

We have similar builds! Mine is focused on multicolored Legendary Humans. Mine has an emphasis on creating human tokens and drawing to come back from field wipes. It's easily my most consistent deck. A few standouts that swing the board in my favor heavilyare: Fallaji Wayfarer hits all of Aragorn's abilities, but more importantly lets you reduce the cost of multicolored spells. Inga and Esika for making use of tokens to cast bigger spells and netting cards in the process. Kyler, Sigardian Emissary is the secondary commander and if it stays for more than two turns you typically have lethal. Tome of the Guildpact gets me back into and takes over so many games. I can't overstate how impactful drawing by simply casting half of your deck is. I hope these help. Check out my build if you get a chance. I already see some things in yours I want to try.

FINALLY! I had like a dream about creating a set/commander deck on this page, so I’m really glad it’s finally happening. I’m happy to be the progenitor of the clan, so here goes

Kara, Spy in the Ice

Legendary Creature - Human Rogue

Snowwalk

Kara, Spy in the Ice is white, blue and green (this ability doesn’t affect its colour identity)

Whenever a permanent enters the battlefield from the graveyard, create a tapped Hideout token.

Once per turn, you may cast an Artifact card from your graveyard by sacrificing two Hideout tokens in addition to paying its other costs.

1/3

So the first ability is for how Kara has infiltrated the faction, a la Fallaji Wayfarer, and hideout tokens are:

Artifact Land - Hideout

: create a tapped treasure token with a stun counter on it.

The balancing on this is really delicate, as land tokens that create treasures can be very broken. I intend hideouts to be the mechanic of the faction. Maybe there are some cards that give hideouts abilities too.

NOOO i got ninja’d. I was gonna make a cool thing. Oh well. Um. Well, someone, maybe you FauxFaux since now you have the title of being the maker of this faction make a choice of whether or not hideouts should stay in the set outside of Kara.

Create another card for Matzoth! Bonus points if it’s for this faction, or names one or all of the factions (giving them actual names instead of us calling them the yeti/bridgette faction or the red black faction or whatever)

On the subject of Kasla's color identity: maybe it would have been too cookie-cutter, but I think it's a shame that she can't play any of green's token-making convoke cards or Fallaji Wayfarer

Baron_Pretzels okay. The reason I put some of the cards in is because it's not just the multicolour but I also wanted each solo colour to be represented by at least one creature and one spell:

CREATURE

White: Sisay, Weatherlight Captain, Odric, Lunarch Marshal

Blue: Esior, Wardwing Familiar

Black: Drana, Liberator of Malakir

Red: Kari Zev, Skyship Raider

Green: Sakura-Tribe Elder, Fallaji Wayfarer, Esika, God of the Tree  Flip, Kolvori, God of Kinship  Flip

SPELL

White: Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares, Urza's Ruinous Blast

Blue: Negate

Black: Yawgmoth's Vile Offering

Red: Mana Cannons

Green: Beast Within, Kodama's Reach, Cultivate, Farseek, Nature's Lore

Another Blue creature I was thinking was Fblthp, the Lost

Reason I put The World Tree was probably cause I've put Esika in.

Color is a general property of objects that applies regardless of the format being played. Color identity only exists to restrict deckbuilding in specific formats like commander. A card's color doesn't necessarily match its color identity as the rules that define them are slightly different.

On color: "105.2. An object can be one or more of the five colors, or it can be no color at all. An object is the color or colors of the mana symbols in its mana cost, regardless of the color of its frame. An object’s color or colors may also be defined by a color indicator or a characteristic-defining ability."

On color identity: "903.4. The Commander variant uses color identity to determine what cards can be in a deck with a certain commander. The color identity of a card is the color or colors of any mana symbols in that card’s mana cost or rules text, plus any colors defined by its characteristic-defining abilities or color indicator."

Note that Fallaji Wayfarer has a characteristic defining ability that specifically makes it 5-color even though its color identity remains green. Thus, casting it with Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile on board will result in both the scry and token being created because Jenson only cares about color. Path to the World Tree represents the opposite case in that its color identity is 5-color but its color is only green. Therefore, it is monocolored and won't trigger Jenson's abilities.

Fallaji Wayfarer is a 5-color card with a monogreen color identity. Because it 5-color, it will trigger Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile's ability letting you scry 1 and make a 4/4 angel.

Path to the World Tree is a monogreen card with a 5-color color identity. Because it is only 1 color, it will not trigger Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile's ability. You will neither scry 1 nor make a 4/4 angel.

Color identity is generally only relevant for deck construction in the commander format. Cards like Command Tower can reference, but generally only do so for your commander, not other cards.
