If Aquamoeba hadn't been affected by the change in which combat no longer uses the stack, I'd probably have it here as a two of. Having all green creatures can really screw you if someone has pro green.

I can imagine why it was your deck back in the day. This deck is really fun. Not the most competitive anymore (thanks a lot Tarmogoyf!) but still very fun to pilot. Thanks for the +1.

It was my extended deck back in the days!! Needs Aquamoeba and Chrome Mox lol, yea maybe the meta evolved in the meanwhile

• Celestial Mantle
• Steel of the Godhead
• Lightning Greaves (her ability doesn't target, and if you need to enchant her, just move the greaves over to something else)
• Dovin's Veto
• Divine Reckoning
• Open the Vaults
• Curator's Ward
• Sigil of the Empty Throne
• Shielded by Faith
• Angelic Destiny (I f-ing love this card)

Flicker or blink effects can work very well to defend Bruna too. eg:

• Essence Flux
• Cloudshift
• Flickerform

Aquamoeba can help you discard all your auras so you can equip them for free. So can Cephalid Inkshrouder.

If you want to discard and gain something in return (you greedy git) you have things like these:

• Chamber of Manipulation
• Dream Trawler
• Key to the City
• Mindless Automaton
• Pegasus Refuge

These are but mere suggestions for stuff you may want to consider!

Oh snap. You're right about Taurean Mauler. That sucks. I like Aquamoeba in general because it's a free, low-cmc discard outlet. But I suppose Cephalid Inkshrouder achieves that as well!

Paeldroth: Thanks! Glad I could help with the budget section.

Of those creatures, the only one I'd potentially run is Tectonic Giant. The issue is that you want low-CMC, or a bit more... punch than something like Aquamoeba grants. Also, Taurean Mauler is a human, so it can't be mutated onto :(

Some other creatures I've tinkered with: Wake Thrasher, Cephalid Inkshrouder, Dragonlord Ojutai, Adanto Vanguard...

Daedalus19876 I appreciate the addition of the budget section! As suggested, I'm going to look into Consecrated Sphinx. Thoughts on the following critters for mutations? Pristine Skywise, Tectonic Giant, Treasonous Ogre, Taurean Mauler, Aquamoeba, Zetalpa, Primal Dawn?

Maybe some simple free discard outlets to let you churn through your deck rather easily. when you put Curiosity on Brallin, Skyshark Rider, damage the whole table enough times for a win but if not draw your whole deck. Cards like Aquamoeba, Dream Trawler, Land's Edge, Mind Over Matter, Patrol Hound, Prognostic Sphinx, Resilient Wanderer, Thalakos Drifters, Tireless Tribe, Trained Pronghorn, and Patchwork Gnomes all work. Your choice

Just a quick comment on the Library of Leng bit. Things like Aquamoeba don't work with Library of Leng. LoL (;-)) says that the discard has to be part of the effect. With Aquamoeba the discard is part of the cost, and therefore you cannot discard to the top of your library.

It's the same with Cycling, for instance.

Oracle: You can’t use the Library of Leng ability to place a discarded card on top of your library when you discard a card as a cost, because costs aren’t effects.
