COSTS!

Max13272, 10 years ago

The REAL COST OF THIS DECK is 28.50 + 0.20 + 4.00 + 1.00 + 6.00 + 0.60 + 1.00 + 18.00 + 0.40 + 0.12 + 0.80 + 6.00 = $67.22. BUT, if you don't want to buy the Godless Shrine ($7.50), you can buy the Caves of Koilos for ($1.30) or even the Scoured Barrens for ($0.05). Caves of Koilos is your best bet and it does the exact same thing (a bit better in my opinion) as Godless Shrine. If you substitute the Caves of Koilos for Godless Shrine, the deck ends up being $44 almost exactly. The SIDEBOARD is super cheap, costing about 0.40 + 0.80 + 0.60 + 10.00 = ~$12.00. Extirpate is the expensive card here, and you can replace it if you want a more budget friendly card.

Went back to Modern

BlinkTwice, 10 years ago

After numerous people have suggested making this deck Modern again, I've decided to comply. With only one card was breaking Modern, I can't really say its competitive in Vintage. So, Jace, the Mind Sculptor has been removed to await casual games.

Replaced him with a healthy 25th land.

Replaced 4x Blood Artist with 4x Tidehollow Sculler

GPT - London

*Note to Self - Get propper nights sleep before big events* so i performed Horribly, not getting a single win due to lack of focus and ridiculous playmistakes that coast me every match. Turns out decks cant just play themselves (Unless their aggro) Match one - Was Abzan Aggro, i made the foolish mistake of scrying a Red land down only realizing that i had 3 red spells in hand afterwards, i did Crux his army down once buying me 4 more turns but without a red source, my spot removal Died fast. Match 2 - BlueBlack Delve, an interesting deck, very versatile so sideboarding was tricky, This time it was no fault of mine that the deck didnt pull red mana. end of the match sitting with 2 swamp, 2 island, 3 temples of Deceit, and having used all 3 Polluted Deltas, just my luck again. Match 3 - was actually pretty even, his Blue/Black control was pretty simple to deal with, but nether of us was pulling any sortof gass, and ended up blankly dropping lands and drawing. when it came to dropping spells he simply had more awnsers than i did. Match 4 - Tired Frustrated and not in the mood to even attempts at a win, i gave the young lade a Win with her Temur Aggro Will play this deck again with a bit more energy next time, other tests played beautifully with awnsers and threats landing every turn. its just unfortunate the deck was being handled by ME.

new ideas...

jball30, 10 years ago

found some new things to put in, i have a few ideas what to take out but it would be great to hear others opinions of what to take out and put in:)

Finished the "Final" Deck List

beastlynesss, 10 years ago

This is the build that's going to be ran as of now. Hopefully all is well with it, but I'm sure there is something that can be done! Edit: Also thinking about the 2-decks-in-one sort of thing. Start with twin, end with X. I used to play Cruel Control, and that would be pretty fun to try. I don't know though. Just a thought

Sideboard change

mahyar, 10 years ago

Play test it and give me your thoughts. The synergy with the warriors + Mogis on any turn wrecks hard. I'll have to try it agains G/W aggro to see how it performs.

Comment Clearing And Testing

Crayak13, 10 years ago

So I finally got and built the deck and its proved to be much stronger than I thought. I did not realise at the time or really think about just how many creatures die and how easy it becomes to recur artifacts. Kuldotha Forgemaster + Rings of Brighthearth has been the real mvp so far.

Testimonials from the Played

Schechefter, 10 years ago

I used to think this deck would ruin friendships and that it would be quickly banned from every EDH circle in my area but to my surprise everyone I have played with said that they are not only in love with the idea of my deck but had lots of fun playing our increasingly confusing games of magic. 10/10 would play again, they all say.

Creature adjustment

Superwho, 10 years ago

Added "Soulfire Grand Master" for the lifelink and spell repeat. Made sure all creatures have a power less than 3 and a cmc less than 3 to make the most out of "Alesha Who Smiles at Death" and "Oujatia's Command". Also, now have more token generation for "Sidisi's Servant".

First FNM results

Ultrakill, 10 years ago

It wasn't that bad, i just wanna be clear that i only got 2x Siege Rhino 1x Anafenza, the Foremost 0x Fleecemane Lion 2x Deathmist Raptor so that's mean the deck wasn't complete this time (but it will be).

Result: 2nd place.

Round 1 VS Mardu Dragons (2-1)

Hard to deal with flying dragons if my deck doesn't have a good opening hand, so i got burned the 1st match, but the other 2 after that, i got the right things in the right time, Deathmist Raptor + Dromoka's Command, enough to deal with Dragons, also Abzan Charm, the only annoying thing on those games was the Sorin, Solemn Visitor, but hopefully i got Utter End in my sideboard, Rakshasa Deathdealer sealed the deal with his useful power to survive over removals.

Round 2 VS Esper Control (2-1)

Again, the first match was a nightmare to me, he got answer to all my things, and i couldn't deal with his hexproof dragon, so time for sideboard. All i have to say about game 2 is Dragonlord Dromoka, at the end of the game i got like 50 life, Crux of Fate??, no problem, eat my Valorous Stance ^^, he just conceded couples of turns after that. The last game the aggro made his presence and Collected Company revealed 2 of the most powerful cards in the deck Anafenza, the Foremost and Rakshasa Deathdealer, after that he couldn't deal with that huge damage.

Round 3 VS Temur Aggro (0-2)

What could i say?, when you don't have the hand and top deck only lands you are just screwed. Game 1 i got 3 spells and 4 lands, i thought it's ok, but after 4 consecutive top deck lands, well... and he was temur aggro... So game 2, i got the spells but got stuck with the lands, that was a round to forget.

After all, i got 1x Collected Company and 1x Dromoka's Command as a price, the Temur guy got 1xSarkhan Unbroken, so im not mad about that 2nd place ^^, and yeah my deck isn't complete as the list, but as i said; it will be in few days :).
