Mono-green stompy is fun, but often suffers one fatal flaw: waiting a turn to swing.

Fortunately, Runadi, Behemoth Caller makes this problem a thing of the past, using the incredible power of Green's least-used tool: artifacts!

Every creature that has 3 or more +1/+1 counters gets haste from Runadi, and every creature with a CMC greater than 7 gets enough extra counters for haste. But by playing additional counter-stacked artifact creatures, we can beat the clock and set ourselves up for some token-related tricks later.

If you hit all your land drops, a turn 1 Llanowar Elves, Elvish Mystic or Arbor Elf and turn 2 Runadi opens you up to a 5-mana haste play on turn 3, such as Steel Exemplar, Verdurous Gearhulk, Clockwork Hydra, Arcbound Bruiser, or a discounted Tangle Golem.

Alternatively, you can ramp slow with Gyre Sage, Viridian Joiner or Rainveil Rejuvenator, using counter-adding effects to increase their mana output and ramp into bigger threats. Prototype creatures like Iron-Craw Crusher or Rust Goliath can be fielded early to stall for time or kept on hand for brutal finishers later.

Draw engines like Up the Beanstalk, Garruk's Uprising, Garruk's Packleader and Deepwood Denizen will keep us stacked in fat plays once we get rolling.

Once we're up and running, it's heavy hitter after heavy hitter. Turn off your brain and swing for the fences! And if you stumble on a counter doublers like Invigorating Surge or Solidarity of Heroes, all the better.
