+1 if you like the new build! Thanks! And thanks for all the views and +1s for far. 1100 views and counting!

I've moved the deck towards more control and removed all the walls for removal. Walls don't actually solve problems, they just hold off threats until I'm inevitably overwhelmed later in the game. Removal is move effective, even if it doesn't synergize well with Phenax, God of Deception. His combo with Consuming Aberration and Nighthowler turns out to be good enough, anyway.

Early Game

Dakra Mystic is awesome. One drop with the ability to jumpstart the mill or draw extra cards.

Omenspeaker is a solid early blocker and the 2 scry helps dig up needed cards in the early game.

Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is not a winning condition, really. He's pretty easy to kill, but he is a nice early game threat that must be dealt with. That's one or two Hero's Downfall gone before it can be used against Jace or an Aberration.

Removal

Threats can be countered cheaply by Dissolve or Psychic Strike.

Doom Blade, Hero's Downfall and Dark Betrayal are great spot removal. Death's Approach is fantastic against larger creatures and can even be used to remove pesky gods. Bile Blight is great at wiping out tokens and Pack Rats, among others. Seriously one of the best removal spells out there right now.

Winning combos

Consuming Aberration + Phenax, God of Deception is the key combo. Phenax allows Consuming Aberration to mill X cards, where X is the number of cards in your opponents graveyard. This can mill an opponent out in about 2-3 turns. Alternately, the buffed Aberration can kill in one strike if unblocked or made unblockable with Rogue's Passage.

Jace, Memory Adept can be used to draw cards, jumpstart the mill (+0 ability = mill 10]], or win in combo with Duskmantle Guildmage.

Phenax, God of Deception + the walls can also be used to start milling, which, when combined with Duskmantle Guildmage can be deadly.

Other Spells

Crypt Incursion is priceless life gain mid to late game. It weakens Nighthowler (which is really in the deck to be a midgame distraction before Consuming Aberration), but has saved me in many games.

Suggestions

Updates Add

The third major rebuild of the deck performed far better than earlier versions. It held it's own in every match.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far!

Round One/: Mono Black Devotion (1-2) I lost the first game to a pair of Desecration Demons and a finishing Gray Merchant of Asphodel and simply did not have enough removal after two Thoughtseize to recover.

I sideboarded in more removal with + 3Dark Betrayal and - 3 Dissolve.

I won the second game with an early Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver which I used to steal a Desecration Demon. After that I simply removed all creature threats that came up, hit him with the demon whenever he didn't throw a creature to him, played Jace and then Consuming Aberration for the win.

The third game was a close loss. My deck performed well, milling him to seven cards before I drew into lands for three turns and was killed by Pack Rat.

Round Two: Izzet Burn (2 0)

The second match was an easy win against an Izzet burn deck with young pyromancer. I mostly focused on countering burn spells while building mana to play Jace. His deck never really threatened my position in either game, and both wins were fairly quick.

Round Three: Mono Black Aggro (0 2)

This was another close match. The deck ran Master of the Feast, Nightveil Specter, and Pain Seer. The first game was a close loss. I took him to 1 life playing a Nightveil Specter I took with Ashiok while removing all his major threats. He took me out by drawing into a grey merchant the turn before the kill.

The second game I simply didn't draw into my removal in time to save the game and was taken out by Master of the Feast and Herald of Torment.

Round Four: Mirror Match (2 0)

Round four pitted me against a similar BU mill. His deck ran almost no control and removal, however, and I destroyed his creatures and planeswalkers before he could do any real damage, then played my own unchallenged.

Round Five: Minotaur Tribal (2 0)

I like minotaur tribal, but the deck was far too slow to stand a chance. My opponent played minotaurs on T3, usually, by which time I could afford removal easily, preventing the synergistic effects of the creatures. Minotaurs are really only threatening when there are several of the on the board. One game was won by Consuming Aberration and one by mill. My life total never dipped below 10 in either game.
