I read somewhere that noncreature spells in Birthing Pod waste utility. I've made my own Pod deck based on that idea, and it's given me nothing but good things. A removal creature such as Skinrender or Acidic Slime is ALWAYS better than a noncreature removal spell in Pod.
As for constructive criticism, I'm not entirely sure what Skaab Ruinator is doing there. Well, okay, I DO know what it's doing there, but what if you draw it? Then it's basically useless.
If you're looking for a 3-drop to replace it, check out Mwonvuli Beast Tracker. Also, Thundermaw Hellkite, if you can afford it, would be incredible for any Pod deck running Red.
Have you ever though of Massacre Wurm ? It's the first card I think about when I here about a Jund Pod. It's a great removal for the opponent only (unlike card:Black Sun's Zenith) and it has the possibility to kill the enemy.

Like Pan163 said, in a Birthing Pod you want to maximize the number of creature in order to maximize the efficiency of the Birthing Pod. So you should try to get creatures that do special effects to replace the spells in the deck. I am talking about cards like: Entomber Exarch for the discard or the reclaim, Viridian Corrupter fot the artifact destruction, Viridian Emissary for the ramp, Silklash Spider to destroy flying creatures repeatedly, Perilous Myr to burn them or creatures they control, etc...
In another hand, I think you could had 1 or 2 Mimic Vat . It's really underrated right now but it can get out some mad combos. Imagine a Wurmcoil Engine under it? The 3/3 tokens won't disappear at the end of the turn and you still attack with a 6/6 lifelink Deathtouch. Mouahahaahah!
yea Mimic Vat seems like it would do well due to the fact that it forces someone controlling my creatures with destruction to either A. kill the wurm and take a bit off my defense but give me crazy amounts of tokens or B. let me sit back and gain 6 life every turn
That aside, your creature curve is off. You have several copies of Legendary creatures, when you should only have 1x of each. Secondly, you have only 4x 1 drops and 3x two drops. You should really focus on the 1, 2, 3, and 4 CMC slots. Early game is important. Llanowar Elves and Young Wolf are good 1 drops. Perilous Myr and Viridian Emissary make great 2 drops. Viridian Corrupter , Phyrexian Crusader , are good 3 drops. Solemn Simulacrum is a wicked 4 CMC. Adjusting as such will speed up your game instead of doing hardly anything the first few turns, which could be deadly for you.
zandl is right, because you don't have enough ramp. Four birds and three or four elves. I have had more success with my Wolf Run Pod deck because I don't need the Pods - I can hardcast Titans on turn three sometimes. Having the Pods out only makes it more deadly, and I can usually end up with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite on the board if left Podding unchecked.
I, like you, run 2 Mimic Vat s, and they are always spectacular... Pod your awesome creature into a MORE awesome creature, and you still get to have awesome creature A around! Thundermaw Hellkite in one of them is epic.
