So this is just an idea I was throwing around. Basically you get a bunch of snake and insect tokens from Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs. There is also some good interaction with Soul-Scar Mage and burn spells like Outnumber and Sweltering Suns.

• Soul-Scar Mage will help get you more -1/-1 counters
• Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons will get you deathtouch snake tokens when you place a -1/-1 counter
• Nest of Scarabs will get you insect tokens when you place a -1/-1 counter
• Channeler Initiate gives you three -1/-1 counters and helps ramp
• Decimator Beetle drops a -1/-1 counter on ETB and can move counters off of your creatures when it attacks
• Exemplar of Strength drops three -1/-1 counters
• Outnumber can help take care of large creatures, and can radically increase your swarm size with Soul-Scar Mage and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons/Nest of Scarabs the field
• Stinging Shot drops three -1/-1 counters and can be cycled if they have no flyers
• Consuming Fervor can pump a creature and get you tokens at your upkeep
• Grasping Dunes can be sacrificed to drop a -1/-1 counter
• Soulstinger can be a great target for a burn spell ( Outnumber ) with Soul-Scar Mage and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons/Nest of Scarabs on the battlefield, and when it dies you drop all its -1/-1 counters on another creature gaining you a bunch of tokens
• Metallic Mimic could help buff your snake or insect tokens
• Sweltering Suns can work great with the Soul-Scar Mage and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons/Nest of Scarabs on the battlefield, netting you a boatload of tokens
• Hapatra's Mark can protect your Soul-Scar Mage or Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons from dying when hit by Sweltering Suns

• Liliana, Death Wielder will allow you to place -1/-1 counters, and remove creatures who have them
• Liliana's Influence will tutor for Liliana and also crop -1/-1 counters on all your opponent's creatures
• Archfiend of Ifnir places a -1/-1 counter when you cycle
• Festering Mummy drops a -1/-1 counter when it dies
• Splendid Agony drops two -1/-1 counters
• Insult can get you double the counters from Soul-Scar Mage
