The goal of this deck is to win by draining life with Kalastria Healer, Cliffhaven Vampire, and Drana's Emissary, or by beating the opponent down with my flying creatures.

As for the Sideboard, we're running Duress and Infinite Obliteration to disrupt combo, Planar Outburst to disrupt aggro or token decks, Self-Inflicted Wound and Surge of Righteousness for some color hate, Tainted Remedy for the mirror, and Triskaidekaphobia for the fun of it.

If anyone has any suggestions to tweak this deck with some cards outside (or inside) of the Battle for Zendikar block, I'd love to hear them! I tend to struggle with what cards to include in my sideboard, so I could really use help there.

Now Featuring Red! — June 25, 2016

After having both played against Mardu allies, as well as having a few different people recommend I splash for a little bit of red, I've decided to give it a shot!

This is the bare minimum change right now. I removed Vampire Envoy and Nirkana Assassin in order to make room for Firemantle Mage, who I think will help this deck be much more aggressive, as well as fill up the dead slot those two cards were taking.

However, there are probably some pretty great cards in red that I'm missing, so please send some recommendations my way!

Update (7/6/16): Quick update, I've added one more card featuring red to the lineup, 2 copies of Weapons Trainer! I've cut one copy of Drana's Emissary and Cliffhaven Vampire in order to make room for her. I think making more room for more aggressively costed creatures, especially ones that make my Captain's Claws even better, will be a huge help to the deck. Plus she's still an ally, so we don't have to worry about cutting down on how often we hit our rally trigger.
