Esper Gifts Control

Modern Control Gifts Ungiven

Tarroyn

Sideboard

A Modern gifts reanimator deck. I tried to minimize the landbase inconsistency by keeping the deck to three colors.

The deck has a few ways to win, most of which revolve around resolving a gifts ungiven. Gifts can search for less than four cards, usually two, bury both, like say elesh norn and unburial rites, and then you are free to cheat big things into play.

Elesh Norn is the staple reanimator target for gifts decks, because she will usually wipe the board the moment she lands, and keep it wiped against creature decks.

The rest of the deck is cards that either allow you to survive or to get some card advantage.

All opinions are welcome.

Updates Add

Cutting more counterspells may be ambitious, but I think it could pay off. In addition, I decided that it was better to slow down the big mana decks rather than try to out-tempo them, especially since this deck does not run burn. Geist may be played in the board, but ceremonious rejection/other things may be better.

The addition room allows for playing more sweepers, making the fair matchups even more favorable. I think that gaining points there will be the most significant.
