This is my trial of a -1/-1 counter deck. It's my first deck I build (with a lot of ideas and influences I found on this Homepage: thx community) and made of cards I own paper, including the maybeboard. I tried to make it not too expensive. I splashed red because I think that the The Scorpion God fits in very good, it's a very nice card draw mechanic and a good -1/-1 source at the same time.

The idea behind the deck

Main goal is to get out Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons or Nest of Scarabs, or both. Then give as many -1/-1 counters to creatures as you can which results in tons of 1/1 tokens. Swing in with all those tiny basterds.

They get stronger with Creakwood Liege (+1/+1 for creatures and +1/+1 for creatures and +2/+2 if they are both like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons)and it also produces creatures on it's own by time (They are AND !).

A second win condition is with the help of Ob Nixilis Reignited's Ultimate. Some kind of a time play.Wickerbough Elder is for getting rid of artifacts or enchantments.

-1/-1 counter sources

Almost any card produces -1/-1 counters:

• Festering Mummy

• Skinrender

• The Scorpion God

• Grim Affliction (watch the profilirate effect! it also works for Plainswalkers)

• Splendid Agony

• Grasping Dunes

• Incremental Blight (6 1/1 creatures in combination with Nest of Scarabs and 3 when Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons is on the battlefield.

• Glistening Oil (you can cast this on oponent's creatures. They get wither which will produce more -1/-1 counters... okay on my side but you will find a way to play around. And you'll get the card baack on the hand when the creature dies.)

• On the Maybeboard:Dusk UrchinsOkay this deck has no save draw carddraw mechanic, thats right but i wanted to take something that is more than "just" carddraw. I was also thinking aboout Scarscale Ritual... but i did it this way.

Consuming Fervor with Exemplar of Strength or Ammit Eternal or

Glistening Oil on Exemplar of Strength or Ammit Eternal

you can try it if you want to.

If you have some tips to swap cards from the maybeboard or the sideboard, I would appreciate that.And did I miss some hubs so it can be found better?
