This is something I have been wanting to do since I opened Bolas back during M13. I dont play control, really, but this deck has been really fun to playtest and holy crap, I want to get my hands on some
Crux of Fate
EDIT: Play testing has been awesome. most of my friends play creature decks, though. I am developing a sideboard for the mirrors. The
Terminate
and Mizzium Mortors come out, and the
Duress
and counter magic comes in.
I also removed the
Rakdos Keyrune
s from the deck. They just didn't do anything. The deck hardly needed ramp or fixing, I had too many things to be doing to really worry about making it a guy, and as a guy, it was way too small. I moved the consult the necrosages main board. I figured mind rot and divination by themselves are bad, but combined into one card fit the deck well enough. I'll test it out later and see
EDIT: I lost to a deck featuring
Troll Ascetic
, which I guess makes sense but still isn't something I really thought about when creating this deck. He ran a bunch of regen creatures, which I noticed i was kind of brick walled by. so I added in
Far / Away
to the board, as tech against more resilient creatures.
EDIT: I swapped out
Consult the Necrosages
and
Invoke the Firemind
. they just ended up being low impact, and their versatility wasn't as much of an upside as I thought.
