Squandered Resources = favorite card of all time (The name, the artwork, the effect and the flavor text...EPIC)

Null Brooch = favorite artifact (I try and squeeze this into so many different strategies. Negate on a stick)

Squee, Goblin Nabob = favorite creature (A constant +1 in your hand is so useful in EDH) Honorable mention goes to Eternal Witness

Sneak Attack = favorite enchantment (the most elegant/efficient/entertaining engine piece) Honorable mention goes to Humility... and Exploration enchantments are my favorite.

Graceful Antelope = favorite planeswalker ;)

Final Fortune = favorite instant (red Time Walk? Epic!)

Yawgmoth's Will = favorite sorcery (the artwork and the effect are legendary. Infact, this should have been the first legendary sorcery)

Deserted Temple + Rishadan Port = favorite lands (so similar and yet so different. Temple is interactive utility while Port is interactive control with great flavor text)

Grindstone = favorite flavor text (Poignant) Honorable mention goes to Unfulfilled Desires

Phyrexian Soulgorger = favorite artwork (this changes constantly but I'm really digging this currently)

Planar Chaos & Urza's Saga = favorite sets (too hard to decide so decided it was a fair tie. Urza's Saga was like a factory reset. All the cards that didn't make it into A/B/U. Planar Chaos was all the color wheel bending spells that didn't make it into sets from the previous years. Filled in a lot of unique gaps)

Mirage block & Tempest block = favorite blocks (IMO this is the quintessential era of MTG. WOTC found their groove with storytelling thru the artwork, the keywords and the juicy flavor text. These 6 sets showcase the best synergies and deck design strategies in MTG history)

Rishadan Cutpurse fits under Reveillark and Sun Titan but Rishadan Brigand is the meanest

I'm right there with ya Hootsnag Costanza. No longer have a play group either. We were lucky to grow up when we did. I will always have the good memories of Mirage/Tempest/Urza's block WOTC started the Yu-Gi-Oh-ification of MTG many years ago. Hasbro just went into overdrive after COVID. I still enjoy the mental exercise regardless if I'm playing or not. Thanks for always brainstorming and helping me design my niche commanders!

Hinder + Spell Crumple I know 2 CMC is your sweet spot but these do exactly what you want.

Ertai's Meddling the OG Delay

I like you have not purchased a MTG product in years. Modern Horizon 3 was the last set that caught my attention. Splinters Technique is definitely playable along with Raphael's Technique

Great analysis of Torpor Orb! I had no idea it neuters so many all stars of the Legacy meta.

Your thoughts on Artificer's Intuition? Great synergy with Welder, the artifact lands and your decks CMC. Blue would open you up to Stifle as well.

Enlightened Tutor should this be main board? It can grab dreadnought, the artifact lands, Urza's Saga and for your new tech Artificer's Intuition ;)

A playset of Eater of Days seems overkill. 1 or 2 at the most.

I know you are on a forever quest to find the best exiling effects... What about Oblation? Been tweaking some decks recently and starting to think I've been overlooking this for a few years. Use to slot this in all the time when Chaos Warp was originally released. It is an instant that interacts with every single permanent type (including token) can wreck certain commanders and it draws two cards! In white? I'm thinking we have a forgotten EDH gem.

Your thoughts Hootsnag Costanza
