I can feel the hype meter building inside me about snake tribal. Gunna bust out some shisato whispering hunter, and make some people groan. I can feel it.

The new Ezuri is also ridiculous with Mycoloth!

New Ezuri + Shrieking Drake + Aluren

@Gruss029 - Master of Cruelties does work with Kaalia of the Vast, and will also work nicely with the sword.

Master of Cruelties does not trigger during the Declare Attckers Phase.
He triggers at the end of Declare Blockers Phase (if he wasn't blocked).

Good design with Phyrexian Ezuri. It calls back to his tribal roots by caring about low power creatures (90% of elves activate his ability, so he actually still is a good elf general) while also adding a classic Simic effect. Funny thing is that I'm so used to Kruphix, God of Horizons powering out huge monsters that it took me a little bit to figure out why he still works.

I giggled like an idiot at the janky-jank play of Sage of Hours that was mentioned earlier. Finally that terrible card might actually get to do something.

Rayenous says... #6

Ezuri is a possible Animar, Soul of Elements enabler.

I often don't want to cast some of my smaller creatures until I have a combo piece, like Cloudstone Curio or Equilibrium. - With Ezuri out, I can get 'Experience' right away, even with Animar sitting in the Command Zone, and give him counters later.... of course, if Ezuri isn't your commander, those 'experience' Counters become useless if they get rid of him.

A 5-color 'Experience' deck could be fun (though probably not strong). - Using 'Proliferate' to keep getting more counters.

Oh look! Ezuri works super well with Warping Wurm!

Slowly vibrates at the prospect of infinite turns with the Sage of Hours combo

"Viper's Brood

4U

Creature - Snake

Myriad

Whenever Viper's Brood deals combat damage to a player, you may draw a card."

New spoiled card. Flashy, myriad on card draw and all that. But slow and low power for the cost.

New spoiler:

Viper's Brood

Yes! A good snake to hold a sword in Kaseto!

November 3, 2015 8:57 a.m.

So a Myriad creature that attacks with the new sword equipped gets to trigger Myriad twice. Sounds broken enough to me!

Ok, Ezuri is BROKEN!!!!! Sage of Hours, Fathom Mage, Gyre Sage, Contagion Engine, Avenger of Zendikar, Intruder Alarm + Presence of Gond , and so many more combos! i am definitely getting the ezuri deck.!

November 3, 2015 9:16 a.m.

CuteSnail says... #15

I like Sandstone Oracle. It's a little on the expensive side, but still.

November 3, 2015 9:20 a.m.

NixTheThird says... #16

Cenetaur is pretty lackluster to me, but I do like that Titania decks are getting a nod. Sandstone Oracle seems like another niche card that, in the right meta, can shine for decks with little card draw that go up against decks that do draw a lot.

Really expensive to cast though. It's too bad colors like white, which have very little card draw, can't Flicker or anything like that...

November 3, 2015 9:25 a.m.

JWiley129 says... #17

That centaur and Titania, Protector of Argoth are best buds.

November 3, 2015 9:53 a.m.

I love how the green thing is a "Centaur Plant", how does that work lol

November 3, 2015 10:11 a.m.

CastleSiege says... #19

Eh, not sure if the centaur is good enough to warrant a spot in my Titania deck.

November 3, 2015 10:58 a.m.

Loving the new Ezuri's predation... such a nice pesudo wrath for green...

Predation

November 3, 2015 11:09 a.m.

Nice! Ezuri's predation, meet my buddy's annoying Edric, Spymaster elfball deck!

Seal of the guildpact looks really good. Double medallion? Yes please.

JWiley129 says... #24

Ezuri's Predation is essentially a Green boardwipe. It's everything one could hope for.

Plus there's this:

And Ezuri was officially spoiled by SCG today.

November 3, 2015 11:24 a.m.

NixTheThird says... #25

Decree of Pain has a more powerful effect, but this just straight kills the token/swarm/mass-creature player and costs less, so it has a place.

November 3, 2015 11:25 a.m.

Chandrian says... #26

Wow, that makes for some fun politics around the table

November 3, 2015 11:25 a.m.

JWiley129 says... #27

We also have a Dragon:

FlyingWhenever Dream Pillager deals combat damage to a player, exile that many cards from the top of your library. Until end of turn, you may play nonland cards exiled this way.4/4

How do you like Zombies?

November 3, 2015 11:41 a.m.

CuteSnail says... #32

alt text seems pretty good in Sidisi, Brood Tyrant.

EDIT: Ninja'd

November 3, 2015 11:42 a.m. Edited.

CuteSnail says... #33

It's also pretty good in any mill deck ever, as long as you don't mind milling yourself. The fact that you get the zoms no matter which grave the creatures hit is pretty powerful. I thing it's definitely the most powerful in Sidisi tho. Not only do you want to mill yourself, but you also have the green mana to ramp into an explosive cast.

November 3, 2015 11:46 a.m.

Bobby654 says... #34

I'm hoping that the simic color pair commander deck revolves around snake cards, I'm hoping the deck will come with Orochi Hatchery

November 3, 2015 11:49 a.m.

NixTheThird says... #35

Remember that with Dread Summons, Sidisi would only make one extra zombie, no matter how many creatures get throw in the yard. So really, any deck that can make a ton of mana and wants fat graves will consider this card. With Cabal Coffers type effects, even mono black zombie tribal or heavy reanimation decks will at least look at the card.

November 3, 2015 11:55 a.m.

CuteSnail says... #36

Bobby654 we've already got 2 new snakes(Skullwinder and viper's brood) and 1 reprint snake(Coiling Oracle). I'm not expecting a lot of snakes, but I look forward to a Winged Coatl, and Ophidian reprints.

November 3, 2015 11:55 a.m.

beakedbard says... #37

I just wanted Mystic Snake and Coiling Oracle. One down one to go.

November 3, 2015 11:59 a.m.

CuteSnail says... #38

beakedbardWe just had Mystic Snake reprint in Modern Masters 2. I'd rather Mystic snake not take up a rare slot.

However, if numbers don't allow for another Rare new snake, then more power to wotc. do it.

November 3, 2015 12:02 p.m.

SimicPower says... #39

The U/G deck is snake tribal. I feel Mystic Snake is practically confirmed.

November 3, 2015 12:33 p.m.

That new ezuri... ugh... the flavor... is killing... me... uhhhhhhhhhhhh

November 3, 2015 12:40 p.m.

DarkLaw says... #42

In regards to Seal of the Guildpact...

Functionally, it is an Arcane Melee for all cards. Sometimes though, it is only 1 less instead of 2.

Thinking along these lines, it will definitely see play.

November 3, 2015 12:59 p.m.

00xtremeninja says... #43

lol, my lousy Sage of Hours might finally be worth something

kyuuri117 says... #46

So, that new centaur is gonna spike in price once people realize it's legacy playable. And when I say playable, I mean every Loam Pox player ever is going to want at least a copy. Card is nuts, especially as Loam Pox specializes in stopping combo decks and exile effects don't really exist in the format outside of stoneblade.

November 3, 2015 1:23 p.m.

JohnnyBaggins says... #47

Seal of the Guildpact is pretty sweet. I assume it's going to be in each of the decks.

November 3, 2015 1:25 p.m.

CuteSnail says... #48

a in legacy? I don't claim to know legacy, but that seems high for what it does. It's good with fetch lands, but other than that it's iffy.

November 3, 2015 1:30 p.m.

So how can we make Daxos the Returned really good?

November 3, 2015 1:58 p.m.

RedUndead40 says... #50

StealthyGunnar, good question. In my playgroup we have 5 players so 1 C15 deck each. I ended up getting stuck with BW (we rolled dice to see who gets to pick their deck first, I came in last).

So I'm likely stuck with Daxos. He seems decent but really needs a lot of investment to get any good Spirits out of him.

Obviously cards like Flickering Ward can really pump up the experience counters quickly, and some of the black Constellation cards might work well.

What else can we use to maximize Daxos? Other than hoping that the alt commander is a little better lol
