Had a really nice turn out for modern tonight, bumping us to 5 rounds.

Match 1 - Jund Pod 2-1

This was an interesting Birthing Pod list. It ran more aggressive creatures like Falkenrath Aristocrat and Strangleroot Geist. I lost game one, but was able to grind it out over the next two.

Match 2 - Merfolk 0-2

spreading sea was actually very good at locking me out of red both games. Game 2 I unfortunately misplayed and didn't force a game 3. I had him down to 2 with a pair of Snapcaster Mage and a Vendilion Clique in play. He swung out with a big board full of creatures, and I double chumped with Snapcaster Mage in order to keep my life up for the Dismember I had in hand for anything he tried to Aether Vial in to block Vendilion Clique. It was Kira, Great Glass-Spinner... doh. Had I just chumped with 1 Snapcaster Mage I could have played around it better.

Match 3 - Gruul Big Stuff 2-1

This deck was centered around big red and green creatures, with stuff like Elvish Piper to cheat them in. He misplayed in Game 3 pretty badly and I won off that, not proud but it happens.

Match 4 - Affinity 2-1

I have a lot of removal after sideboard, just leave it at that.

Match 5 - Jund 2-0

These games all came down to the swords. Sword of Light and Shadow in game 1 and both of them in game 2. These really let me grind well, though Dismember snap Dismember to kill resolved Tarmogoyf hurts.

All in all a pretty decent night, I was happy with my sideboard decisions and most of my play.
