I just play tested this deck against one of mine almost ended my undefeated streak. Surprisingly deceptive and cheap just how I like it. 4.5 out of 5 stars

+1 for modern goblins. really fun deck. I suggest a 1-2 of Sensation Gorger . The card may not be very aggressive, but it can refill your hand which in this deck is dangerous. dunno though, I run 4x Goblin Chieftain and 4x Goblin King so I have more lords to make it a threat in my deck. May not work here though.

I'll think about sensation gorger but I think the mana cost is a bit high for this deck, especially when the main purpose of this deck is to get a lot of creatures out as fast as possible then bushwhack for a hell of a lot of damage.

Turn 4 win? I got a turn 3 win, in a vacuum anyway.
T1: Goblin Guide , attack (18)
T2: Raging Goblin , Signal Pest , attack with Goblins (15)
T3: Goblin Guide , Goblin Bushwhacker kicked, attack with everything (-1)
Nice deck, +1

no. I wouldn't play him any way because all of my goblins cost either R or RR.

I would suggest Apostle's Blessing instead of Distortion Strike because Apostle's Blessing has the added benefit of being able to protect your creature from damage, spells, etc. You shouldn't really care about losing the two life because you're aiming for a third turn win. In addition, the +1 from Distortion Strike doesn't really do anything for you. You only need to cast three spells on your turn, as long as one of them gets your guy double strike, and you win, with 20 damage.

I second Apostle's Blessing , and would also add Spell Pierce for protecting or disrupting combo decks.
This is pretty awesome, gonna build it as my first Modern Deck! THX

Why are there no Giant Growth or Brute Force in here instead of Titan's Strength ?

Hmm, I'm calculating a maximum of 98 damage? 13 instants/sorceries x3 = 39 +1 = 40 + 9 (4x mutagenic and +1 from distortion) = 49x2 from doublestrike.

Hey I have kind of the same thing build up but a bit more refined. Go ahead and check it out if you want http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/30-07-14-izzet-blitz-modern/ .
I really like Flamekin Harbinger actually I might steal the idea. Right now I run Delver of Secrets Flip for my 1 drop creature but the Flamekin Harbinger has it own advantages

Hi, I have a deck really similar to this. I have a few suggestions:
I like Nivix Cyclops in this type of deck because he's so much harder to kill than Kiln Fiend . He can't die to a Lightning Bolt , Anger of the Gods , etc. Unfortunately he is one mana more expensive, so running the deck with just the Kiln Fiend s and Flamekin Harbinger s is definitely more efficient, but also more vulnerable. I also run Brainstorm which is nice to get three cards deep to find that last combo piece you need, whether it's an Assault Strobe for the double strike or an Artful Dodge for the unblockability. Serum Visions is also fantastic for that kind of effect, but also rather expensive to buy as a single. I do like the Manamorphose in here and kindof forgot about it for my build, so I might run mine with a few and see what happens.
As for the sideboard, I run Flame Slash to get rid of the creatures that can hose the deck, namely Spellskite which pops up in Affinity decks. Speaking of Affinity, it's good to have either Vandalblast or Shattering Spree in the sideboard to deal with pesky artifacts.
Another great thing to have in your sideboard are counterspells to protect your Kiln Fiend s. They just printed Stubborn Denial , which is fantastic if you have a Kiln Fiend on the board. Kiln Fiend 's +3/+0 resolves before Stubborn Denial does, so you will always have the "Ferocious" ability. Not only is this a fantastic, unconditional counterspell that protects your Kiln Fiend s, you could potentially use it to hose over something else that might screw you - Thoughtseize , for example - there's nothing they can do about it and it's as cheap as it gets. Additionally, Guttural Response is good to run against anything that's got blue control in it. If someone is banking on, say, Cyclonic Rift -ing your Kiln Fiend , it works beautifully, especially because no one expects you to be able to counter things with a red mana.
This is such a fun deck to play though, and our decks are really similar! I'm very curious to see how things go in Modern tournaments if you do end up in them. You can also give mine a look, just head to my profile and you'll find it, but I assure you the main boards are nearly identical!

How does Kiln Fiend get haste to deal 70 damage on turn 2? I think you're missing a Simian Spirit Guide in that list in the description. Other than that, nice decklist, +1

I'm sorry that I didn't read any of the other comments, but you probably want some countermagic or protection spells. Remand is pretty cool, otherwise most protection spells I jump to are White or Green.
