Lion Sash

Artifact Creature — Equipment Cat

: Exile target card from a graveyard. If it was a permanent card, put a +1/+1 counter on this permanent.

Equipped creature gets +1/+1 for each +1/+1 counter on this.

Reconfigure (: Attach this to target creature you control; or unattach this from a creature. Reconfigure only as a sorcery. While attached, this isn't a creature.)

gzusvictory Not suggesting there aren't other synergies (definitely forgot about Lion Sash). They all just feel niche in a way where it's more of a "jack of all trades" card than a silver bullet. The tutor, theoretically, should be able to provide you a silver bullet to the problem(s) you have on the table. I've also found myself in a position where I'm able to blitz down opponents in whatever order presents the biggest threat - usually boardwipes or combo go first, and the rest follow shortly after. There's usually little need to rely on equipping more than 1-2 things at a time to kill a player. Maybe 2 turns each, 3 max. Regardless of commander damage. Plenty of removal being played, just rarely run into doomsday scenarios where Kemba would have been an ideal pull. I'm also playing Naya Equipments, so I have a bigger card pool at my disposal and might have just placed contingencies in other areas of my deck

Don’t forget Lion Sash! I feel like for Kemba, Kha Enduring, the main focus is to use the free equip that it provides upon entry. Halvar, God of Battle  Flip will allow Kemba to toss whatever equipment that it picked up to Halvar  Flip, or maybe a creature that can attack the same turn Kemba, Kha Enduring came out. It’s nice to have a mana sink when we are flooded. Paying 5 for a cat seems steep, but if it bypasses any equipment that has an equip cost that is greater than five, then you are profiting mana, especially since we can use Halvar  Flip to move the equipment off the 2/2 and onto something better.
The fact we can use Kemba at instant speed shouldn’t be overlooked too. At the start of their combat, we could easily spawn a cat, equip a sword X and Y onto it, and use it to block their attackers that are colors X and/or Y. Or do the sequence before the opponent enters combat, move that sword onto Halvar  Flip instead if he’s untapped or a better block.

Not sure if this is the cut for Cloud, Midgar Mercenary.

Casual is in the title so I feelish churlish mentioning it, but just for the record: you do know a commander deck with a blue/white general is not allowed to contain any red color identity cards, right?

shoutouts to Deafening Silence and Lion Sash as pretty great and powerful effects! Also if you enjoy Propaganda, you might also like Ghostly Prison

Since Extort is your main objective here, you may want to consider Pontiff of Blight. This will give all of your creatures Extort.

Considering your lack of board wipes I would definitely consider adding Merciless Eviction.

Protection spells including, but not limited to, Angelic Intervention, Faith's Shield and Sejiri Shelter  Flip have the advantage of protecting you from board wipes that damage rather than destroy, exile or reduce your creatures' toughness.

May I suggest Gerrard's Verdict? This could set your opponent back a little. Other discard cards I would suggest include, but not be limited to, Divest, Inquisition of Kozilek and Vicious Rumors.

My suggestion is to aim for cheaper control spells such as the protection and discard spells I mentioned(definitely keep Soul Tithe) and lean more into the Extort ability. Leave mana expensive spell slots only for board wipes. Then use cards such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose to cause more harm to your opponents.

Also, you can't go wrong with Graveyard hate. Cards such as Bojuka Bog and Lion Sash should be must adds.

Also, after doing all these changes if you find yourself with extra space, add in an Alternate Win Card for in case the game stalls . My Suggestions would be any combination of Angel of Destiny or Felidar Sovereign—both of which can feed into Pontiff of Blight.

I hope this helps. Thank you for reading me out. Happy Hunting!

Have you considered Nomads' Assembly? This will double the number of creature tokens. Speaking of increasing creature tokens, Dollmaker's Shop//Porcelain Gallery creates tokens when you attack.

Also, I didn't see much in the terms of graveyard hate. Have you considered Lion Sash? It will also help make it's wearer stronger.

I concur with Andramalech. If you can afford it, Anointed Procession should be in your deck.

Definitely a good call to include Halo Fountain. You just might need a few more ways to tap your creatures without attacking in the event the game stalls out.

I hope this helps. Thank you for reading me out. Happy Hunting!

Have you considered more artifacts with Reconfigure? While I think all of them would work, Lion Sash and Cloudsteel Kirin should be auto includes.

Another card to consider is Paradise Mantle since its practically a mana rock.

If you find yourself with some budget space, Shadowspear is definitely worth consideration.

Also, to make it easier to activate Puresteel Paladin's Metalcraft ability(which gives your equipment creatures with reconfigure equip as well), you may want to consider artifact lands. This includes, but is not limited to, Great Furnace, Rustvale Bridge and Scene of the Crime.

This is all I have for you for now. Thank you for reading me out. I hope this helps. Happy Hunting!

  • Preordain is miles better than Serum Visions

  • yes you can trigger Lion Sash multiple times. You’d presumably always do it in the opponents end step.

  • I should reiterate as I have been this whole thread that your artifact creatures aren’t very-well suited for a control or aggro shell at-all… this is why i’d suggested a bunch of creatures that would actually help you. I know you like Ethersworn Canonist but this is a really bad home for it - trying to force it into this deck is going to make it’s performance bad, and the deck worse.

  • Haughty Djinns 3-mana cost can be a little awkward, but i’ll note Murktide Regent is two mana and survives fine. The trick is to know the matchups well enough to gauge when to ”shields down” to cast it - or wait till you have 4-5 lands so you can also Spell Pierce or Counterspell.

  • Tolarian Terror is 1 mana and wins the game on its own. You’re in no massive rush to dump it down, but tempo-control builds could often get it down by turn 3-4 no problem.

  • Touch the Spirit Realm is fine, but not great. You’re unlikely to ever channel it, but it’ll still be decent-enough.

  • Detention Sphere is decent.

  • of course opponents will be paying 2 mana to crack clues, but only if its the best thing for them to be doing fir their turn. Them gaining clues is an advantage for them.
