Added in curse of the swine and a full playset of anger of the gods, realizing the power of these two cards together, with a playset of ratchet bombs and a pair of aetherize, all to adapt to varying speeds of aggro and midrange aggression.

I replaced the Alive // Well copies with an additional copy of Call of the Conclave, and also two copies of Wayfaring Temple. I was unhappy with how Temple seemed to work in playtests so I decided to put in two copies of Druid's Deliverance as well, which I'm pretty happy with. Now I realize that the Elvish Mystics are probably not that useful, but once again I don't have anything particularly good to replace them with, I feel. Also, I'm starting to be less bullish on Growing Ranks and Trostani here, as I really like all the instants that this deck uses. But one thing at a time.

Significant reworks, most of the control's been sideboarded out in favor of more removal/burn. I'm currently debating between Purphoros, God of the Forge and Pyromancer's Gauntlet as a sort of end game finisher, I might just try removing the battle drivers so I can get two of each in.

After spending several hours playtesting and researching other builds, I've decided to replace Duress with Beseech the Queen. Removing Duress takes out some utility but gives me a higher percentage of playing Entomb or Reanimate by the third turn. I found Beseech the Queen included in solron22's build of Alduin - The World Eater

Added a few late game cards: Boon Satyr
cant decide on Isperia, Supreme Judge or Prime Speaker Zegana
My mana curve was kinda low, drawing cards/playing bestow late game will help alot.

Thinking about converting this to standard. It's technically Extended as I started making it right after Gatecrash came out so I just had a lot of older cards.

Won FMN last week by Dropping Blood Barons for Archangels and Experiment One's for Ajani's. This is really a Junk midrange so the Experiment's were a waste. The Whip/Obzadt combo is ridiculous. Might up the counts on them just for fun.

Changed up the 4-drop to Chandra, swapped my Goblin Electromancer for Spellheart Chimera, and added Mizzium Mortars to the sideboard (I can't bring myself to put them in completely until play tested). Thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming.

just tested this again in a small standard tournament and won :D 14 ppl 4 rounds. won against: 2 - 0 Mono White Heroism type 2 - 1 Mono Red aggro 2 - 0 Grull Ramp 1 - 0 Bant Hexproof Auras

Well, "major" might be a big of an overstatement. There are some fairly significant changes, true, but it still functions largely the same. The goal remains, but the method is somewhat altered. The description has everything to say about it.

Updated for 2014, now just to finish fixing this..... I know there are alot of great cards to add, I would like them suggested as to give props for those helping me fix this deck. biggest issue is it stalls. it needs a god... some crazy 3/3 creatures and something to speed it up!

Black/Red to Mono-Red

I actually found it plenty easier to run a Mono-Red strategy with this deck. It made it much more consistent with land drops, and I found that I spent less time trying to wait for tapped lands to untap. -3x Rakdos Carnarium -4x Akoum Refuge -1x Evolving Wilds -1x Swamp +9x Mountain -3x Shambling Remains -1x Vithian Stinger +4x Vexing Devil

So far the deck has performed well. Aside from getting unlucky mana draws. I played against mono red which was good because I wanted to test it against a good deck. The thing I like most about this is actually a combination of things. First Strike on a lot of creatures, Precinct Captain,Fiendslayer Paladin, and Boros Reckoner(using his ability). Also the Lifelink from Fiendslayer Paladin and using Gift of Orzhova on anything is awesome. Using it on Boros Reckoner gives me at minimum a 4/4 with Flying and Lifelink. Then add into the mix Spear of Heliod and Legion's Initiative and you will get a 6/6 Boros Reckoner with Flying and Lifelink and if you want First Strike. Red couldn't keep up.
To sum it up.
Boros Reckoner still is amazing against red, and most any other decks that have creatures or splash red for burn.
Beef up Boros Reckoner and give him Flying and Lifelink and you have a real monster.

Dropped Momir Vig in favor of Predator's Rapport. My larger creatures tend to get vapor snagged, so I'm going to swap out [Hydra Omnivore] for [Mistcutter Hydra].
Improving constistency

taking out Curse of the Swine for now, as in practice hands I have almost never been happy to see it, as well as Ordeal of Thassa. Instead added another land, Hidden Strings (had forgotten to before), and a Soul Ransom.

I realized that Gray Merchant of Asphodel was really only useful if I already had several black permanents out and had them low on life. Because of this, I have removed it and some of the combo pieces that helped it finish in favor of improving the consistency of the deck in getting to the point where it can finish. Adding Hidden Strings and focusing my removal on bounce effects (since I can bounce their creatures or mine) and counters, with the main focus being keeping their board clear with heroic triggers of Agent of the Fates.
