Just a little homebrew I threw together a couple of days ago to bring to FNM. It was a little lacking in terms of a sideboard and some better cards but somehow I got lucky and made 4 and 0. In the packs I opened, I pulled an Ashcloud Phoenix which I am going to replace the Avalanche Tusker with. I'm also adding two Stubborn Denials and 2 Windstorms to the sideboard. Any comments are appreciated!!!Round 1-I played a Mardu budget deck, the first game was slow, I had no red or blue mana, but my opponent forgot some triggers with his Goblin Rabblemaster and Butcher of the Horde so I was able to beat him back as I got more mana. 2nd game he used End Hostilities and followed it up with some fast creatures. Third game, I won four rounds after the active player by just being fast and smart and getting good draws.Round 2- I played a Sultai deck and Ashiok really crushed me the first game. The next two however, I was more wary and used my Stubborn Denials well on his Apex Predator and killed his walkers right away. Savage Knuckleblade was the real savior.Round 3-I played an Abzan deck that won by playing Hornet Queen then using Soul of Theros . The second game he kept with one mana so I was just able to smash him quickly. Third game, after a while into the match, he was at 4 and I was at 18, he had three Sylvan Caryatids and a Hornet Queen with all of the tokens, I had no cards in hand. He used Soul of Theros again and swung for 15. Then I was at 3 and he had 19 health. I drew into a Temur Charm , said that creatures with power 3 or less couldn't block and swung for exactly 19 with three Knuckleblades, three Mystics, and two Rattleclaws.Round 4-I was playing a control-ish, just kind of all around smashing sultai. I lost first game when he ultimate two Kiora, the Crashing Waves. Second game I played forest and mystic first turn, second I played a Swiftwater Cliffs and another Elvish Mystic, third turn, I played forest and Prophet of Krupix, then flashed in an Avalanche Tusker on his turn, then he forfeited. Third game I just drew better and countered well, he just got unlucky and I didn't.Thanks for commenting and upvoting!!!!
