Philosophy will clip an angel's wings. ~John Keats. This deck is a desperate try to get my fluffy angel deck turned into something competitive. This deck seeks to get to the middlegame in order to drop the big nasties and win the game.Bow before her majesty!

In a slow deck like this it is important to keep the aggro and combo decks at bay. Wrath of God is an excellent sweeper that brings the hurt to weenie decks. Council's Judgment can pick off specific cards that ruin your day and Disenchant can throw a wrench in artifact and enchantment decks. Still not sure on whether or not to include disenchant, I my own meta it seems prudent to keep it. Path to Exile is fast creature removal - some would prefer Swords to Plowshares but in this deck I think Path is better (check the Ramp section for why).Bang! And the dirt is gone!
The main objective in this deck is to get my big beaters out - and they cost a lot. In order to get the Angels on the board I need to ramp, but since I play mono white there are not many options for me. In this deck Urza's Incubator is by far the most important ramping card as it allows you to get angels out two turns earlier than you normally would. When you get two of these out you can start throwing down the REALLY big angels like Avacyn, Angel of Hope. Knight of the White Orchid is a decent card on its own, but the land fetching is really why I brought this card into the deck. This combined with the fact that a 2/2 first strike can stave off early offense makes the knight a prime pick for this deck.Path to Exile is a really useful card. The removal part is obvious. But it is also really good at ramping. Once I drop a Knight of the White Orchid and get a land I can remove it with Path and get ANOTHER land, this means that by turn three I can have as much as 5 plains in play.Ramp that bitch up!
The point of this deck is to beat down my enemies with majestic and angelic vengeance! In order for my big nasties to survive I have included Mother of Runes and Emeria, The Sky Ruin so that I can keep my angels on the board in the lategame. I have win conditions in different mana ranges: Sublime Archangel is a cheap and effective card that has synergy with the smaller creatures in the deck (Mother of Runes and Knight of the White Orchid) because of the exalted ability. When you get more angels, however, the exalted ability becomes obsolete as you want to attack with your whole angelic horde. Baneslayer Angel is one of the best known beaters in the game so no need for introducing her value. The opponent needs removal when this badgirl hits the board. Swing for damage while gaining life is massive. Avacyn, Angel of Hope is expensive (not so much with Urza's Incubator but when she is on the board she is hard to get rid of, especially if you protect her with a Mother of Runes. Angel of Serenity helps you clear the board without losing your own pets. Keep it alive with Mother of Runes to avoid getting the three enemy cards back onto the board. Iona, Shield of Emeria is crazy expensive but with enough incubators you should get there eventually.I've got Angel's blood!
