Back on the track! —July 28, 2017

Just some minor updates. Thinking about more instant-speed spot removal in the deck. Potential drops are: Baneslayer Angel (lifegain is already supported), Comeuppance (limited in it's category), Wild Ricochet (hard to pull off).

See your Kaalia must have been hugged more as a child. Mine is all bitter and angry lol. I run mass land destruction because a couple of others in my playgroup do as well.

I know...you must have play tested it or considered it a gazillion times before...but I must ask: Gift of Immortality or Indestructibility they would be sweet (perhaps instead of Shining Shoal?)

Nice build! + 1 from me

No, not really - thanks for the input! Indesttructibility looks a bit overcosted but Gift seems like a perfect fit. I'll definitely try it out!

Between those two, I like Gift because it protects against sacrifice and -X/-X, unlike Indestructibility.

Have you tried Master of Cruelties in this deck? If you bring him out with kaalia he puts their life down to 1 and then kaalia deals 2 damage and kills them (just a small wincon)

Hi bnwl91! And as stated in the description I'm skipping on the Master since he just seems to unfair to me. Thanks for the post though.

Great Khalia deck! +1,000! The Timmy in me adores her, and I was thinking about making a deck for her, but I wanted my Mardu deck to be Zurgo Helmsmasher for different, still very Timmy, reasons. Ankle-Shanking, if you're interested. It's still in a very formative stage but I want a counter/mirror to a Thraximundar and/or a Silvos, Rogue Elemental deck. I want a 7-power+ -general beater deck! I already kind of have a "cheat-out-fatties" deck and a hordeling deck.

So I'm, uh, making one. The power of agency! Behold!

It seems like you need a little bit of card draw so why not Howling Mine, Bloodgift Demon or Indulgent Tormentor?

Hey Athraithe, thanks for the input and upvote! Bloodgift Demon ist already in there but more carddraw is always something I'd be up to. Still, since this is for multiplayer games, Howling Mine means that I give my opponents 3 cards before I get one so this doesn't seem too impressive to me.

+1 from me. Loving Kaalia myself, but this is a bit of a different brew then I got

Cool take on Kaalia; +1. Here are some initial thoughts that might help improve your deck:

I would suggest that you don't have enough Swamps in the deck to reliably make Tainted Peak and Tainted Field operational. I'm also a bit dubious that you will be able to operate Windbrisk Heights with only 23 creatures. Exotic Orchard is somewhat problematic as--in my experience--blue and green are the most popular EDH colors; there's a possibility you whiff on one or more of your colors. City of Brass, Nomad Outpost, and Reflecting Pool seem like no-brainers. I would also encourage you to finish filling out your cycles of dual lands--Clifftop Retreat, Shambling Vent, Battlefield Forge, etc.

As far as business cards are concerned, I notice you have a reamimator subtheme going on. Have you considered Karmic Guide? Faithless Looting could be interesting as well as you have numerous means to recoup creatures from your graveyard. You've got a few card advantage engines already, but I'd also bring Night's Whisper and Skeletal Scrying to your attention as well. Rune-Scarred Demon is Demonic Tutor on a stick. Speaking of, you should probably includeb the Tutor if it's within your budget. Vampiric Tutor is also tremendous.

Creature wise you have most of the standards; I would suggest Archangel Avacyn  Flip,Thundermaw Hellkite, and Stormbreath Dragon as potential early plays, as you simply won't always be able to get Kaalia into play early and make her stick.

Give my version a look and see if there's not anything else you might find useful. Hope this helps.

Hey Rusty, thanks a lot for the input mate. I'm not quite sure about the tempo loss of cip:tapped lands but I feel like you're right with the overall swamp count. I also found Crackling Doom in your list, which seems like a perfect Sunforger target for me!
