Silvos, Rogue Elemental Discussion

Those suggestions look great thanks! I'll have a look at what I can take out in a bit. I'm trying to keep it as budget as possible so I might not get Life from the Loam or some of the pricier cards, but ones like Arbor Colossus and Silvos, Rogue Elemental look perfect.

So far your main game plan seems to be a split of Multani voltron and a tiny sprinkle of landfall effects. Since you are already planning on ramping to increase Multani's power, why not include a big enough force of stompy green creatures?

Cards like Arbor Colossus, Ant Queen, Thragtusk, Endbringer, Hydra Omnivore, Silvos, Rogue Elemental, Elderscale Wurm, Rampaging Brontodon... just adding a decent number of these would help diversify your angle of attack.

You could also include some X-spells as late game haymakers. Gelatinous Genesis, Genesis Wave, Squall Line and Hurricane (You'd probably be safe if you have cards like Miren, the Moaning Well with your commander, of course you should have Life from the Loam to recur it!).

I am not at all opposed to the Hellkite. One of the main reasons I love this deck is that there are so many Big League Boys to throw into the mix. It definitely meets all of my criteria (evasion, utility, and either an immediate board effect or some type of passive tax or whatnot). The thing is, what I really look for in creatures is whether I would tutor for it or not. There are a ton of dragons that fit in here but the deck is in a spot now where if I make changes, I'm more often than not looking to make noticeable improvements and not just lateral movements.

That being said, you said my 2 favorite words: IS BEEFY. I fuckin love it and I think it is probably the best token generator Xenagod here could ask for. Tokens don't add to my devotion at all (noice), and what better token than a flying 6/6 or 12/12 or whatever. As I Don't know why I had not thought it out more thoroughly before. But yeah, good call I'll test it out. I still have a few creatures that can be easily replaced (LOOKIN AT YOU, Silvos, Rogue Elemental

I figured my thought process and all that might be helpful to people lookin to upgrade and all that good shit. Or not, whatever.

Also, immediately following this comment I will update this list to the decks current state. I have been a very lazy man apparently.

A ton of your cards are not standard legal, so you might want to change your decks format. Also, you might want to think about creating a common theme for your deck. Right now you have tons of options, lifegain, ramp, midrange, etc. But throwing them all together makes it a little difficult to create a deck that works well. Stick to one or two themes. After that you should try to gather multiple copies of the cards you think fit best. Having multiple copies helps with consistency in your deck.

I would recommend replacing your Wood Elves with a few Llanowar Elves and your Jaddi Lifestrider with an Essence Warden. She's not as cheap as you may want, but she's wonderful for creature heavy decks like this. I would also try to find a better replacement for Walker of the Grove

Other good cards for decks like this are:

Soul of the Harvest, Thragtusk, Sylvan Caryatid, Dungrove Elder, Champion of Lambholt, Primeval Bounty, Rampant Growth, Forgotten Ancient Silvos, Rogue Elemental, Predator Ooze, and Rampaging Baloths, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Vinelasher Kudzu, Reclamation Sage, Scute Mob,Lifecrafter's Bestiary, Karametra's Acolyte (Once again, not always the cheapest, but you can pick and choose)

I was thinking the same thing about Petradon, so I'm going to keep in Silvos, Rogue Elemental for now.

I think adding Keldon Firebombers would necessitate a total rework of the deck, so it'll probably be kept on the sidelines.

Thanks for explaining your thoughts and the upvote!

Some deckbuilding guild lines I set out for myself are very little artifacts or enchantments and creatures with toughness 5 and preferably 6 or more to survive Wildfire and Destructive Force so adding Sakiko, Mother of Summer or Wort, the Raidmother would be suspect. Though they are really good cards and I should probably try to fit in sakiko anyway.

I'm also running this on a strict total budget of $50. My buddy and I are trying to flex our deck building skills not our wallets lol. So I don't think i can fit in Neheb, the Eternal even though it's super good as well.

I'm going to swap Conjurer's Closet with Selvala's Stampede though! That's a super cool card and i think it'll be great!

Do you think I should run Hunter's Insight over Soul's Majesty?

If you like the deck an upvote would go a long way, Thanks!
