An aggressive deck based around building up Champion of Lambholt's power for unblockable attacks with the alternative plan of building up Champion of the Parish to deal damage.

Avacyn's Pilgrim, Precinct Captain, Frontline Medic, Mayor of Avabruck and Gather the Townsfolk all build up both Champion of Lambholt and Champion of the Parish . Precinct Captain's second ability builds up Champion of Lambholt and Mayor of Avabruck builds up the tokens generated by Gather the Townsfolk , so there's a good amount of synergy here.

Rancor can pump up Champion of Lambholt while Selesnya Charm can do the same thing to for at least one turn in the event that an unblocked attack would win the game. Selesnya Charm can also generate a creature to pump Champion of Lambholt for the long term, but this probably won't come up very often. Loxodon Smiter only pumps Champion of Lambholt but besides that it's a great creature that just seemed like a shame to keep out of this deck.

The sideboard is very much a work in progress - Rootborn Defenses protects against board wipes like Supreme Verdict (if anyone knows of an alternative that costs less mana, please let me know). Sundering Growth helps against enchantments meant to kill my momentum like Oblivion Ring or Pacifism . Pithing Needle shuts down troublesome Planeswalkers. This sideboard absolutely needs Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and once I get a couple of those they'll replace Purify the Grave .

Maybeboard is a list of cards that I think sound interesting for this deck. Ignore the fact that there's only one of each.

This is my first standard deck, so any advice would be much appreciated. I started playing when Return to Ravnica was new so I don't know about too many of the cards that came before, meaning that specific card suggestions are especially appreciated.

Made several changes to the deck in light of Friday's results. Added Angelic Overseer to help with games that run long. Replaced Avacyn's Pilgrim with Boros Elite since the mana ramp wasn't really needed and I think that the Elite's battalion effect is more useful. Replaced Precinct Captain with Knight of Glory to allow for more damage on turn 2 with exhalted and since it is easier to cast than Precinct Captain. Fencing Ace is an option here instead of Knight of Glory. Added 3 Evolving Wilds for situations in which I can't draw the second green I need for Champion of Lambholt or the second white I need for Angelic Overseer. Added Conjurer's Closet and Acidic Slime to the sideboard so that land destruction becomes an option against control decks.

I would like to integrate Wolfir Silverheart as a late game bump to Champion of Lambholt and my one Silverblade Paladin to make Loxodon Smiter hit harder but I don't know what cards to cut in favor of those. Right now I'm trying to get this deck into shape for mostly casual play at PAX this weekend - any tips would be appreciated.
