Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to hell. :-)

hell

This is my casual kitchen table rakdos deck. It is quite successful in a casual environment but I think it still needs some enhancements for being more effective.

PROS:

  • This deck can be pretty aggressive.
  • Unlike real aggro it has no problem to continue putting pressure through mid to late game.
  • I know it sounds strange but with a lot of removal and some discard (Blightning) this deck feels sometimes like a "control"...at least for a moment. ;-)
  • Overall flexibility - many win conditions.

  • CONS:

  • It has problems with decks that are using many low value creatures like goblins or against token strategies. I have some sideboard cards against these decks but it is not optimal.

  • STARS OF THE DECK

Demigod of Revenge - I don't think that this card needs any significant introduction. This guy is a beast, hasty flying avatar with 5 power. If you have a Ashenmoor Liege out you have 7 power to deal with. Not to mention that this evil being likes his brothers with the same name. Death means nothing to him.

Ashenmoor Liege - He is boosting your entire team of cute demons, friendly goblins and other pals. His second ability causes another 4 points of damage to an opponent, usually after a removal. Most of the time I deal at least 6 more damage thanks to him.

Blightning - Yes, it is a sorcery but it is sooo effective and annoying for your opponent. This is a perfect spell for this deck. It is aggressive with 3 damage + opposing player has to discard 2 cards which can be deciding factor in your match.

Murderous Redcap - Persistent creature with a removal/burn potential. Again very good for this strategy. Marvelous in combination with Demonlord of Ashmouth.

Hellhole Flailer and Spike Jester - Great aggro dudes. Flailer can do 8 damage in one turn when unleashed.

    HOT INTERACTIONS

Ashenmoor Liege + Hellhole Flailer - Unleashed Flailer + 2 power from Liege = 6 power total. Attack, sacrifice and do 12 damage.

Ashenmoor Liege + Murderous Redcap - Similar interaction. You have Liege in play, Redcap do 4 damage to creature or opponent. After he dies, it is additional 3 damage. In case that Liege is a target of removal, opposing player gets 4 damage instead.

Demonlord of Ashmouth + Murderous Redcap - Redcap is a perfect creature for Demonlord. Deal damage after the persist trigger on Redcap and keep the undying 5/4 flying beater.

Geth's Verdict + Murderous Redcap or Demonlord of Ashmouth - You can cast it defensively on yourself to sacrifice one of the returning dudes to create blocker during opponent's combat phase.

EVERY FEEDBACK IS MUCH APPRECIATED, THANK YOU!

    MAY YOU DRAW HELL! ehm...WELL!
