Inspired by MTGPALADIN's list: Punishing Jund
Death Spark
is an incredibly powerful, underplayed card in Pauper. This deck aims to use it, again and again, until we smash face and win. Remove tons of common X/1 threats, and mid/late game, you'll usually have two Sparks going for X/2s. WELCOME TO TRI-COLOR VALUE TOWN!
CARD CHOICE
Faerie Macabre
is a spicy one; we can discard it for free at instant speed, any time. It'll eat opponent's dredge cards, OR can remove lands or spells from above our
Death Spark
.
Vessel of Nascency
fills our yard and can grab any card other than our Sparks.
Grave Scrabbler
can function as a two-for-one if discarded to TortEx
Sanitarium Skeleton
is mostly for spice, but it lets us TortEx twice a turn in the late game, and also functions as a recursive blocker in a pinch
Satyr Wayfinder
pitches cards and also gets us the lands we need to keep going.
Golgari Brownscale
is great for burn, or surviving long enough to clear threats with your Sparks.
Gurmag Angler
is a cheap fatty that will usually win you games, or at least trade for removal. We can also use them to delve away unwanted cards from above our Sparks!
Tortured Existence
lets us grab the creatures we've pitched.
Abyssal Gatekeeper
is our removal for threats that Spark can't hit. We simply pop it with Spark and it forces our opponent to sac!
Thorn of the Black Rose
is basically the
Dark Confidant
of this deck, and eats a lot of the common pauper threats.
Spore Frog
is incredible for stalling
SB Cards
Our board is pure spice. We want to run creatures, because we can reuse them and dig for them.
Ingot Chewer
absolutely wrecks affinity. Combined with TortEx, you're in a good position to win if you open with one.
Caustic Caterpillar
tag-teams with Chewer for affinity, but will also hit enchantments --
Oubliette
,
Journey to Nowhere
,
Curse of Chains
Crypt Rats
is necessary for elves. Also decent against mono U delver to sweep away faeries, ninjas and wizards.
Augur of Skulls
wrecks control decks
Scattershot Archer
hoses delver
Please, give me advice! I like playing jank but I like winning, too. Let's make this deck awesome!
