Trying to make slivers good in pauper. Also trying to do something different from the good ol' G/W slivers.
So this is how the deck works: You play your value creatures like
Shadow Sliver
or Winged Sliver or Sentinel Sliver or
Bonesplitter Sliver
and play a bunch of sliver lords. The deck has 12 of them, not to talk about the rest that gives buffs to them as well.
So you play this deck as an aggressive deck, but with the help of Homing Sliver and
Quick Sliver
you can slowly adapt to the match-ups, especially after sideboarding.
There are a few sideboard slivers for different match-ups:
Spinneret Sliver
is really straight forward, it is good against flier based decks.
Screeching Sliver
is for the infinite life combo decks or any lifegain deck that we cannot race in the long game.
Hunter Sliver
is for the go wide creature based decks, with it you can make the blocks in your favor, and keep the opponents board in check. Also if you have something like
Sidewinder Sliver
or Striking Sliver on the battlefield as well you can do some really nice board clearing.
Mindlash Sliver
is against the combo match-ups, where the opponent just keeps recurring cards from their graveyard, you can get them with this little bad boy, but at least you can force your opponent to play around it. Also in the late game you can have so much mana, you can easily activate multiple slivers to empty the opponents hand.
Mnemonic Sliver
is for the control match-ups, or for the really grindy matches, where getting more gas to fuel the sliver war machine is really important. Also can be helpful against discard.
Homing Sliver is just to make sure you can side in them to get the one of's you sided in. With the slivercycling you can get any sliver you need in the situation, and it's a good way to make sure you have the sideboard cards you need. You can go up to 3 homing sliver after sideboarding.
In the main deck I think you best bet is to be aggressive and run out the cards unless you have stuff like
Quick Sliver
.
I hope you like my take on pauper slivers, and if you like the deck please let me know.
Also any suggestion is welcome, main and/or sideboard as well.
