Crow_Umbra Prowess is actually pretty hot right now with the new card Cori-Steel Cutter. Slickshot Show-Off is the other centerpiece of that deck. Wild Defiance is... wild lol, I could see this fitting into the right deck. 3 mana is a bit steep for a prowess deck (low land count) but at least you won't lose value like you normally would from killspell in rsp. to pump spell, turn 2 plot slickshot turn 3 defiance into mutagenic is kinda wacky lol.. Or 2x Lava Dart on your own creat for +6/+6 :)

Thanks again for checking out my OG Modern decks. I haven't checked them out in years.

I haven't followed the Modern meta in years, but might take a peek. I don't really have any EDH decks I'm working on rn, besides recent updates to my existing lists.

Prowess/Flurry/Valiant seem like fun continuations to a Heroic deck that I used play. I thought I had my old Heroic list still up, but I must deleted or archived it a while ago for some reason I can't remember. It was a G/W Heroic deck built around OG Theros, and featured stuff like Ranger's Guile & Wild Defiance.

Thanks for the upvote! I just won a game this week where I had Timesifter and Jace out and nobody else took a turn :)

Hey Icbrgr after testing the Scythe Tiger I found it actually plays surprisingly similar to Brave the Wilds: A resilient 3/3 for 1 that eats a land. However, Brave is more flexible because you can use it unbargained + also gives haste which has been relevant. I won some games with tiger but generally it was just used as an extra creat to go over the top with a wide board, playing turn 1 tiger never really felt like something I wanted to do.

Thankyou very much amarthaler! Scars block was when I started getting into FNM and playing "real formats" so the metalcraft stuff is super nostalgic for me too. Pretty sure there was a gruul aggro metalcraft deck in that standard. Deck feels like it has been playing awesome, typical aggro stuff i.e. it's weakest to midrange strats but definitely hits fast and hard enough to be capable of outpacing opposing aggro or get underneath control decks like Tron and Faeries. When Jund Wildfire can killspell all our stuff then play creatures bigger than ours it's pretty rough

I heard that new fangled Marauding Mako fella likes casting Burning Inquiries

Mishra's Bauble Street Wraith Detective's Phoenix are other regular players I've seen in these kind of builds, the phoenix in particular is extremely discgusting with FoMO. Your build is way more interesting however with Scourge Wolf and the madness cards. Just imagine dropping the wolf and bestowing the phoenix on it for 3 total mana, netting a 4/4 double striker haste flying you feel me???

SufferFromEDHD My first (*EDH) deck was Captain Sisay! If you want to look at my terrible first(ish?) build from 2011 it's up here Sisay Actual, and the current version is the one on my profile. Glad you enjoyed the suggestions, everything else I could think of was already in here (well also Second Sunrise and Faith's Reward but I'm betting you've considered these!). Maybe Diamond Valley as yet another land sac outlet if you are still wanting for outlets? Doesn't seem extremely necessary since you have saga/map as well

Stub is definitely the classic choice for domain, I can see reasons for choosing Snare though particularly being able to counter 2-drop creats like Psychic Frogs and Ajanis

Didn't have the time to comment on this earlier when I voted, just wanted to say this is such a cool idea for a deck. I played Yosei in the 99 of my very first EDH deck but I don't think I've seen anyone cast them in about a decade. Very unique effect allowing for lots of specific buildaround which is my favorite sort of deck. I like how Yosei will always be gunning specifically after the one strongest player so I imagine it's easy for you to gain the table's favor with this deck. As far as recs go, what do you think of cards like Lifeline or Enduring Renewal to loop Yosei without stacking up commander tax?

Impressively budget build, Uril is classic and seems like a really great option for something powerful on the cheap

Looks like a solid domain build, love to see the return to form with the classic Tarmogoyfs and Bolts, not really sure what else Domain likes to run these days but Phlage seems pretty spicy in here too. Looks like a strong build, my only question is why Spell Snare over Stubby D?

What I mean by that is two things, speaking about politics I think it's best to provide realistic, truthful statements about the board, even acknowledging your own strengths and weaknesses or how you intend to use your powers for the good of the table. When the table can see you've made a good point they are more likely to listen. The other key to this lies in holding back and not giving players reasons to target you, because when all your sh*t is OP as hell you can't lie or deflect your way out of that.

Speaking mechanically on the other hand, which seems to be more the focus of your question: Outside competitive REL environments I don't think there really is a means to legally "cheat." The first thing that comes to mind is handling missed trigs, and this simply goes one of two ways: In a competitive environment there is a rule to handle it (the opponents decide whether to put the trig on the stack at the time it is remembered, usually not), in a casual environment it's generally forgiven/up to the table. If players intentionally miss something other than a trigger like a game action or replacement effect and don't say something/uphold the rule that is blatant cheating. In casual I think doing anything to try and rules shark (like denying reasonable takebacks/i.e. no new info, just didnt realize about an effect on board) is just plain a d*ck move and will turn the table on you. In casual I think it's expected that all players be given the benefit of the doubt to make the best play possible as far as is reasonable (considering new info and such) for the benefit of the game.

Then of course there's gimmicky stuff like the "pen trick," false tapping lands, or just plain bantering to distract the opponent, all but the very last seem like b.s. to me against a good opponent who is on their game those actions won't factor in to their own decision making because such mind games will be expected.

This list looks super sweet, I've never built Titania but I ran her in my Captain Sisay deck for years. That deck was optimized for competitive 1v1 and "Titania-Aggro-Stax" (which some might call Ponza) was my #1 go-to line. It's a lot harder to leverage this at a multiplayer table which is why my build shifted away from the Titania/Crucible stuff. But your build looks brilliant and the tech with Natural Balance is so sweet. The only things I can think to add would be classic stax card Root Maze which you can also use with Amulet of Vigor/Spelunking to break parity. Winter Moon is another G-Stax card that comes to mind but I trust you know whether or not it could be supported. Also I might choose something like Perilous Vault over the disk in a big mana list like this, just for the ability to use it fast. Anyways +1 from me this looks like a solid execution

Icbrgr On the other hand Tiger is still a very sick card and killspells are ever rampant, I will try out a 1-of and report back to you :) Thanks and glad you like the Gruul vibe, I was inspired by another player running Carapace Forger in a more full-on affinity list as well as the Mono G Stompy decks that have recently gained popularity, this deck is primarily the best cards from that shell plus a red splash for the best red aggro cards.
