Ideas for a Scorpion God EDH Deck?

Hey all
I recently acquired a foil Scorpion God and wanna make a deck outta it, the question is, how should I take it? My first thoughts were rakdos spellslinger. Putting -1/-1 counters on everything then board wiping to refuel. Probably winning with a Banefire or some black X spell since the deck is probably black heavy.
Any thoughts?
There aren't a lot of rakdos commanders that draw cards; so he is very cool in that sense. I believe the only other is Lyzolda, the Blood Witch which could even go in the 99
Black Sun's Zenith is your friend for sure. As is a TON of ramp since he costs 5 mana and his ability is another 3 mana. I feel you'd need a lot of control options to grind into the late game, and/or blast out of the gate with ramp
I've been wanting to build it but haven't yet. I ran Olivia Voldaren for a while and in the same fashion it needed a lot of mana to get going.

Use wither, infect, and -1/-1 effects. As for the details I can't help there since I didn't start my own The Scorpion God deck. Do something chaotic.

Contagion Engine , Contagion Clasp ... Other wise I don't use much -1 counters myself

Another thing to consider if you haven't already is cards that trigger on ETB like Warstorm Surge. The Scorpion God will most likely keep going back to your hand rather than the command zone making recasting him easier.
I feel like these effects are better in a re-animator shell or a deck where cheating creatures in multiple times is a thing... But 6 damage is nothing to sneeze at. My deck runs about 7 creatures that have ETB triggers but you could run a few more, a handful of recursion and Panharmonicon and make that a route to victory.
Soul Snuffers and Skinrender come to mind as benefiting from pan. I also think Banewhip Punisher is a very effective card for this deck. Especially if you are running reanimation at all. It all but ensures at least one creature will die with a counter on it.

Rakdos Signet, Talisman of Indulgence and Mana Vault are pretty necessary imo.
Other than that, I have a mogis competitive control list (Mog'zart, Symphony of Destruction) that might give some ideas. Though mass land destruction may not work here, Kormus Bell and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth could.

I can afford all but mana vault. Also thanks for the list I'll be sure to look into it! Also speaking of Mogis, should I include him in the deck?

Eh he isn't super important really, 40 life and all. If your on a budget I'd just save for whatever stax or combo pieces you plan to win with.

Hm what kind of combos to run? The mikaues triskellion one could be a possibility... other than that (like if I missed one on your deck) I don't know.

The only combo I included was Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank since it works well with Mogis and I'm not sure it'd fit here. You could use Rings of Brighthearth(edit: wow, these are expensive now!) and Basalt Monolith for infinite mana since both pieces work for the deck on their own.
Rakdos has access to a lot of creatures that go infinite mana/creatures with Ashnod's Altar and Nim Deathmantle too.
Those are the best I can think of atm.

I kind of like the idea of Rakdos control for him. You have creature removal and draw in the command zone so you could use a discard and a Stax-y package to win a long game. Bitterblossom, Bloodghast, Ophiomancer, other token producers alongside Smokestack, Smallpox, Innocent Blood, Necrogen Mists, Oppression and lots of boardwipes. Basicly just disrupt everyone and win with card advantage. That's the way I'd go anyway, I tried something similar with Mogis recently and it was pretty good but lacked good reliable sources for card draw.
