Limo:

Don't replace Dissipate with Unwind. Replace Luminarch Ascension with Unwind. Zur draws alot of hate and Luminarch Ascension simply puts a sign on you that reads "Hit me to prevent me from making 4/4s".

Deny Existence is simply a poor counterspell. Even Dissolve is better. Rebuff the Wicked is generally played only if the deck has no access to blue.

Myrs as mana rocks are poor choices as they can be killed easily by your own board wipes. I recommended them to be replaced with lands so that you can always readily draw into the 4 lands you need to start the ball rolling. I run 36 lands and I still can get land screwed really easily.

Helm of the Host is simply too expensive to equip, since you intend destroy all lands.

Finally, a possible card for you to consider is Brainstorm. You can put back the enchantments you draw back into the library for Zur to tutor.

Ok myrs are out, although I still might want some more rocks, because the goal is turn three zur, you're right luminarch can go. I'm keeping rebuff because I just like it as a one mana option. Sure I'll take out helm of hosts.

As far as luminarch ascension goes, if ur running the RIP/energy field combo you wont be taking damage anyway. So the ascension would make a viable alternative win condition if thats what you were planning

That was my plan, I haven't removed it yet, so still looking for a good replacement.

What determines the competitiveness bar?

Cmc and mana base as far as I know. Ive seen 50 percent decks jump to 90 percent decks by removing tap lands and going to Pain, shock and check lands.

Limo Zur decks are hard to fiddle with, cause the list is almost perfected at this point. You'd have better luck just looking up the Zur Primer tier 1 EDH decklist to be frank. And it isn't cheap. Zur is all about speed, and Zur isn't good unless you have that :-)

Zur is fun, but boy oh boy it attracts a lot of hate and attention, so in a compeitive environment you won't stand a chance unless you have the manabase and speed build into the deck. I'd gladly help, but there are easier voltron strats out there, than Zur :-)

Thank you guys for all of your advice! Alucarde KayneMarco and Alpha Authority have made me realize that there really is only one right way to do competitive Zur. So I decided since I'm only really playing with friends, in a casual setting, I'm going to order this version of the deck. if I enjoy it I can look onto investing more. My final question is knowing I am in a casual setting, do you think their are any other combos I should add.

Limo absolutly. Even with a budget and in a casual setting, there are some other comboes and in general valuecards I'd suggest. But since I'm working atm, I'll answer you later tonight.

Thank you AlphaAuthority. I think I'll add Opalescence and Enchanted Evening for land destruction, and now that I've decided not to go competitive, I'll put them in place of the more expensive cards.

I'm sorry, but those are too much money for me, when I get a job, maybe then I'll upgrade but for the moment, I try to only get cards less than 10 bucks, the only ones I have in the deck more then that I already own irl

Limo many of the cards right there isn't more than 10 bucks. Obviously you never buy cards from a provider. So don't look on those prices here on tappedout :-)But I'm from EU, so the prices are a bit differende. But I use magiccardmarket.com for my purchases.

I really like the combos in this deck. It pretty strong too because of the removal and counter spells in case something does not go as planned. So it is a pretty well rounded deck so it is pretty nice.
