Going to try and keep a record of what is happening when this iteration here.
4/27/21
So far have gone 2-1 with the deck.
2-0 vs Ninja's
1-2 vs OmniTell
2-1 vs RG Lands
After Update
2-1 vs RUG Delver
all of the matches have felt pretty good. I had the oppourtunity to combo out and win in game 3 vs Tell, but I didn't take it because I was too afraid. They didn't have the force or the removal. I think that matchup is a race and maybe next time I just go for it.
I think the deck need refining, but it feels like it is doing it's thing.
Sometimes you will feel like you are stuck in a draw go as your digging for the combo, but as long as they aren't winning then you are good, eventually you'll find an Uro or the combo piece.
Update:
Out: 3 GSZ, 1 Dryad Arbor, 1 FON, and 1 Leovold
In: 2 Thoughtseize, 1 Spell Pierce, 2 Snapcaster Mage, 1 Verdant Catacombs
Update:
Need to think about SB options for Depths match-ups.
Adding a Submerge and losing a Plague Engineer
Update:
I think this deck is getting good. I beat Elves and Delver. Need to really think about things that outpace it and stop it winning its grindy match-ups.
Update:
Took down elves the other day. Just a race and we get more disruption in game 1.
Took down Delver as well. Uro the way to win.
Update 5/17/2021
QoL updates: Run Afouls for Submerges. Really thinking about taking the spell pierce out. It always feels bad and doesn't seem to do as much as I originally thought.
Note: Huge shoutout to Justin Parnell who has helped in the iterative process. His mind and his time are throughly appriciated. Check out his Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/think-twice-mtg/id1259719825
