This deck was built around a simple combo using the piper's ability to drop huge nasty creatures without the excessive casting costs. The deck is not ultra fast and it tends to do damage to itself. I built in several other nice combos to help gather the beasts - like Captain Sisay, Hell's Caretaker, Reya Dawnbringer, and a couple tutors.. The loss of life is somewhat offset with the Wall of Reverence, which can grant huge life gains, Brion Stoutarm, and a Congregate. There are some utility cards in as well but I am posting this deck to get some ideas - I haven't played too much in the past 10yrs or so and would love to work in some of the newer cards that might work nicely with this theme - any suggestions are welcome including mana speed / alternate lands, better creatures, spells that could help.
