The banning of Faithless Looting struck many decks looking to leverage the graveyard, including Izzet Phoenix. Despite the name though this was really a Thing in the Ice   deck and thanks to Merchant of the Vale filling the gap for Faithless Looting, it might just be playable again.

This is a rough build based on the old deck, I might up the The Royal Scions to two or the Aria of Flame to three, cutting the Crackling Drake but for now this is the configuration I'm testing.
