Torture

"The worst wounds, the deadliest of them, aren't the ones people see on the outside. They're the ones that make us bleed internally." ~Sherrilyn Kenyon

Basic Description

This deck is based on creatures that tap to deal 1 damage like Vulshok Sorcerer equipped with deathtouch artifacts like Basilisk Collar to work like unlimited removals and possibly damage dealers.

Master of Cruelties and Quietus Spike work as fast killers.

Be just careful when you accept an opening hand, 3 mana is vital for this deck.

Card Breakdown

(in alphabetic order)

  • Basilisk Collar: Cheap and deadly. This equipment turns your tap-to-one-damage creatures into ultimate removals.
  • Blood Cultist : It can target only creatures and it can't be used to deal damage directly to your opponent but with deathtouch this creature will get big fast and it will also stay out of Doom Blade's reach.
  • Cunning Sparkmage : Tap to one damage with the advantage of the ability to use it the turn it hits the battlefield.
  • Dreadbore: Planeswalkers removal that can also help against creatures.
  • Lightning Crafter: This creature is a strong damage dealer and can champion the many shamans in this deck.
  • Master of Cruelties: Once the board is clean this cards says "Game Over".
  • Prodigal Pyromancer : Basic tap-to-damage creature.
  • Quietus Spike : Gives deathtouch to your creatures and, after you wiped the board of opponents makes them deadly finishers.
  • Terminate: The best creature removal. Period.
  • Virulent Swipe : If you don't have your deathtouch equipment on the board or just need some more deathtouch creatures this Instant will give you 2 turns of deadliness.
  • Vithian Stinger: Basically a Prodigal Pyromancer with the upside of possibly having it enter the battlefield from the graveyard to deal that last damage.
  • Vulshok Sorcerer : The best tap-to-damage creature. A Prodigal Pyromancer with haste.

Sideboard

  • Glaring Spotlight: If your opponent runs hexproof creatures your creatures won't be able to work as removals anymore. This cheap artifact fix the problem.
  • Lightning Bolt: A deck with red that doesn't run Lightning Bolt feels just wrong.
  • Sword of Feast and Famine: If your opponent is running not so many creatures include this to start dealing real damage to him earlier.
  • Tragic Slip : Cheaper than a Terminate and if your creatures work as they should it will work just the same. Useful when your enemy is running so many creatures you need to remove them the old way or against creatures with protection from red.
