Step into the ring!

Arena is a 1 v 1 singleton format with an emphasis placed on a battle between just two creatures.

Deck construction

50 card singleton decks, consisting of your Champion (a legendary creature) and 49 non-creature cards within your champion's color identity.

Victory

Your objective is to be the only player controlling your champion for three consecutive turns, furthermore your champion must be face up and a creature.

Poison victory is 15

Life total: 40

you can win by fulfilling other victory conditions but only if you also control your champion.

Details!

During the first three turns neither player may play there champion.

In the cards themselves the words Commander and Champion may be taken to be synonymous, With the exception of the 5 planeswalkers that can be your commander.

Like in commander if your Champion would be moved from the battlefield to another zone you may instead choose to put them into your commandzone.

Like in commander you play your Champion from the command zone by paying the cost + the commander tax.

Note that only creature spells are forbidden, other card types that generate or become creatures in some way are both wholly permitted and encouraged.

Banlist

For now we will be operating under the commander banlist until a more detailed list can be constructed with the following changes.Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary May be selected as your champions
