Grishoulbrand, remastered.

If you don't know the combos here;

Fury of the Horde + Griselbrand

Griselbrand + Goyro's Vengeance

Griselbrand + Through the Breach

Borborygmos Enraged + Goyro's Vengeance

Borborygmos Enraged + Through the Breach

Borborygmos Enraged + Nourishing Shoal

Any of these should net you the win, or get you damn close. Especially with fetching shocks by your opponent.

The classic deck of this was R/B, or R/B/G.I started out with R/B/G but found that this deck (usually not running Borby, relied on the luck of drawing grizzle too much, or the 3 mana fetch for him with Time of Need, slowing down the deck considerably.

So I moved to R/B, adding in Worldspine Wurm for the Nourishing Shoal , and Through the Breach for another way to get Grizzle/Wurm out faster. While this deck did have a stronger game, once again the deck manipulation wasn't quite there, and there were too many alternate cost spells removing my hand, like Soul Spike or Lightning Axe, reducing the things I could do.

So I then splashed for blue for U/B/R, mainly for Izzet Charm. Turns out that that little card pretty much hits all the things you need for this deck to really shine. It shocks away mana dorks from green, it counters counters from twins, and it digs deeper at instant when you need to either see grizzle, or throw it away. Adding in Serum Visions here was a no brainer, it being the best turn 1 manipulation we're allowed at the moment.

So now, this beast has become a deck from which you cannot tap out against, even turn 2 or 3. All this together brings a slight twist on the grishoulbrand flavour. One that I've found delightful, but my opponents have found to be... unpleasant.

Note: As any grave deck, this is super weak to graveyard hate. There's nothing more disparaging than seeing a turn 0 Leyline of the Void, turn 1 Grafdigger's Cage or Relic of Progenitus. Hence the sideboarding of Cyclonic Rift.

The matchup sideboarding is pretty simple. If you think they're going for graveyard hate, take in the Rifts, take out 1/2 charms, and a Vengeance.

If they're going for counters, simply side in the 4 Boseiju, taking out some shocks/fetches.

If they're going for creature removal, take in the pacts, take out some charms.

If they're going to race you, wish them good luck and blow them away.

If it's a burn deck, creature light? Take in the Leylines and laugh.

Any and all comments are welcome, but maybe take it for a spin or two before you blast it for being a glass cannon, because this is anything but now.

Note: Fun things to do!Explain to your opponent that no, you don't have to sac griselbrand when you reincarnate him in their endstep.

Count to 21!

Cast spells for free! (Note: May have to discard cards)

Respond to the trigger from pact of negation, by winning at instant speed!

Response to removal, by going draw 7, nourishing shoal, draw 7, draw 7, nourishing shoal, pact of negation!
