A Sultai Villainous Wealth/
Empty the Pits
deck.
Ramp: First we have the "big three" of mana ramp: Elvish Mystic, Sylvan Caryatid, and Courser of Kruphix. We also have Voyaging Satyr, which segues into our next item, land enchantments.
Verdant Haven
and Market Festival get us extra mana and help fix our colors.
Nissa, Worldwaker
also has synergy with land enchantments. Let's not forget the land mana ramp of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and the mana storage of
Kruphix, God of Horizons
.
Finishers: Villainous Wealth is the big one, but it depends on how strong your opponent's deck is. Now, if only we had another explosive X spell in Standard... oh, we do.
Empty the Pits
, while requiring a bigger mana investment, has the upside of not needing our opponent's deck to be strong. Mistcutter Hydra is also a good finisher, due to it's uncounterable... ness?
Other: Currently, only Dig Through Time fits into this slot. Seven cards is HUGE, and helps us find pretty much whatever we need.
Sideboard: AEtherspouts is useful against aggro decks. Hornet Queen comes in against flyer-heavy decks. Fatty ramp decks can be taken out by Hero's Downfall.
Sultai Charm
is there because it's a toolbox card, and Sagu Mauler, Hydra Broodmaster, and more copies of Mistcutter Hydra and
Empty the Pits
help out when Villainous Wealth isn't doing the job.
Why should I play this deck?: Because it combines the extreme ramp of Mono Green Devotion with the humongous fun of X spells like Genesis Wave- or in this case, Nemesis Wave.
