Stardragon on New Tarkir Elder Dragons

I love all of these though if you wish here my worthless 2 cents

I agree with TypicalTimmy on Dromoka that it feel unwheleming plus I feel that the Abzan (the Clan not the color scheme) care more for toughness than for power so maybe make her a 4/6 and her ability say creatures with toughness less than Dromoka have Vigilance and Trample?

As for Atarka she maybe a little too powerful in dragon deck maybe make focus on creature with power four or greater since temur like those (a minor improvement since like 97% of dragons are 4 or higher) and instead of counters make it a firebreathing effect?, instead of just creatures maybe something like this

"Whenever you draw a card dragons you control gain +1/+0 until the end of the turn"

"Whenever a creature with power four or greater enters the battlefield under your control draw a card than discard a card, if this creature was cast from your hand instead Scry 1 and Draw a card" this way if you cheat a monster onto the field you still get the draw but you have to discard, but if you cast it from your hand it rewards you with more utility (you have blue use more of it). I think that this will make her a little more balanced but still very powerful

The only small thing I have with Kolaghan is that it has deathtouch as a 4/3 hasty flier I don't think it all have many chances to utlize deathtouch why not make super aggressive and instead give it flying and haste and "Whenever Kolaghan attacks deal 2 (how many you feel is right I'd personally say not more than 3 and even that a lot) to target creature or planeswalkers (this is not a may ability, as his other effect hits you as well might as make him shock you if there's no other targets)

For Silumgar really I'd take off a -1/-1 counter and make them enter with 2 or maybe only 1 of them instead of three as thats a bit harsh seeing as there many other spells that let you take shit from graveyards without such a heavy downside (yes ik it a ETB and that can Abused but i feel with that many counters it will only be adbused for the mill effect), and more for ONLY for flavor and not for practical use (though there is some practical use for it) and that's making the creature you bring back zombies since the sultai were necromancers first and foremost. Also what is Mindburst? I can only find a card named Mind Burst and not an ability?. Pls explain what it is and how often it can be activated?

My only complaint with Ojutai is the same with Silumgar what is mindburst? other than that it's a fine card not broken or underpowered

Epicurus on What Tiggers Do Best

Jalverastegui, thanks for the input. I agree about Force of Will. The best benefit of it for me is the alt cost. This deck is at its best when I'm using all of my resources every turn. I don't generally benefit from leaving mana untapped for counterspelling. I aslo hear you about the Mind Twist. Truth is, I only own the one. Also, the problem with Mind Burst is that it's awesome if you run 4, but kinda garbage if you run any less than that. If I got just 2 more Mind Twist and removed the Mind Burst completely, I could add in the 2x Force of Will without losing any of the bouncers.

Although, I do like Ostracize. It lets me see what I'm up against on turn one, and possibly remove a combo piece. It might, at the very least, yoink a mana dork. That's always helpful.

My dearest friends, I am no red player but your Shockingly poor card combo strings has brought about Increasing Confusion in this forum. Noticeably, some of you are quite Determined to make such combos, resulting in some form of Planar Chaos. I am here to bring some Illumination to this Havoc Festival, and hopefully turn it into a Mages' Contest. Ponder with me for a moment what a good string of combos looks like:

  1. Shouting random cards with Ferocity makes you look no more intelligent than a Kird Ape. You don't want your comment going Horribly Awry just because you were too eager to Fling the first card you can think of into your comment. You're not Brion Stoutarm, kid.

  2. Metaphors are your best friend. Check out my Directive: Dragonfire description to see a fun example of some of these in use!

  3. Keep your Anger towards other commenters in check and restrain your Molten Influence from giving a Guttural Response to a good comment. Conversely, its fun to Outwit other commenters, but nobody likes a guy who Insists on getting the Last Word.

  4. Seek to create a Parasitic Bond some cards that are Familiar Ground, cards that you feel like a Myth Realized only in conversation. Find where you get your Mystic Confluence, don't take a Wild Guess.

  5. Waste Not all of your cool cards in your first sentence. The most Circular Logic you can make is to Burnout of cards by using all your fun combos in your first sentence, Counterbalance this by attempting to split your combos out a bit, Hesitation is a nice ally to have.

  6. If you cant find a card for it, Exclude it. It's not worth making your Mind Burst looking for something that may not exist. Likewise, if there is a Split Decision remember to take your time. Comments like these are a Trial and Error Process.

  7. HAVE FUN! Call that guy a Brushwagg! Wreak Havoc on a well thought out Stoic Rebuttal! Subdue the thread and remind them that they are in the Presence of the Master! Enter the Infinite! The Possibility Storm is endless, and the world is your Spellbook.

Hopefully, some of you will Rethink some of your previous comments, and make some Careful Consideration an some of your future posts. Alas, my Dying Wish of this post is to hope that each of you can show some Overwhelming Intellect when it comes to using magic cards in a sentence, as I would prefer not to Suffer the Past.
