Farfinder

Creature — Fox

Vigilance

When Farfinder enters the battlefield, you may search your library for a basic land card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.

Pilgrim's Eye , Farfinder , and Skittering Surveyor all allow you to not miss a land drop and still get another body on the field

I love, and miss, the imperfection of the painted cards. The old-time heavy-hitters like Goblin Shrine, Terror, Regeneration, Holy Strength, Stasis, and Mana Vault (there’s one for each color!) were full of motion, weirdness, mystery, and made me feel like the cards were actually unearthed from some sort of forgotten magical vault. The stuff nowadays is too...perfect, in my mind. I’ll pick a new card, almost at random: Farfinder is the second card from Ikoria I saw. The art is great, and the skill needed to make it is FAR beyond my capacity. Having acknowledged that, it’s polished to perfection...to the point of near-boredom. I really can’t get emotionally connected to it, and that makes me sort of sad. ::shrug-emoji::

Pikobyte, Very true!

If Tiny_Sir wants to run Cloudstone Curio, he should focus on cards like Ugin's Conjurant, Farfinder, and similar colorless nonartifact creatures

geosojda the Serrated Scorpion is a must card in this deck.

I had Liliana's Shade but too that out as soon as i seen Pilgrim's Eye and Skittering Surveyor which do the same only but having another card in there Farfinder not sure if its necessary. i mean 2 should be enough. now if you like the art you could definitely change one out. which i might do

thanks for bring them to my attention. since the shops have closed down i haven't spent much time on the MTG world, sadly

So with Ikoria coming out i've been looking at 2 cards

  1. Serrated Scorpion Serrated Scorpion This card is NUTS! Draining the table for 2 every turn and healing yourself at the same time for 1 mana is just sick value. I'm really looking forward to how this card plays.

  2. Farfinder Farfinder I like this card, my thinking is that this will replace Liliana's Shade. Its one mana cheaper and has the same benefits at the shade on ETB. I'm pretty sure i don't have any "swamp" cards that the shade can get in my deck other than basics. THe only benefit to shade is the pump she can get which i can honestly say i have never used.

THats about all i see in Ikoria for Shirei, thoughts?
