Channel Harm

Instant

Prevent all damage that would be dealt to you and permanents you control this turn by sources you don't control. If damage is prevented this way, you may have Channel Harm deal that much damage to target creature.

Hello! Dropping in from the Redirection hub where I have a very similar list. One recommendation that I would make is that while you're running a lot of the Valor Made Real blocking effects, you're not running effects like Gideon's Sacrifice, Saving Grace, Martyrdom, or Channel Harm. Obviously some are better than others, but those effects are way more flexible than block-buffing cards because they can save you from more effects. Fun list though!

DrukenReaps on Cards that redirect damage from …

Didn't see much for , decent amount of though.

Batwing Brume, Comeuppance, Acolyte's Reward, Channel Harm, Divine Deflection, Vengeful Archon, and Refraction Trap.

If you wanted to take this further Pariah or Pariah's Shield on Stuffy Doll is fun. Most Stuffy Doll effects get attached to red but it would redirect damage rather efficiently compared to some of the instants above.

Here's what I found so far:

What happened to blue player's lands?!

Very useful if I don't want to be hurt, and it reflects damage onto creatures.

I could easily use this when I finally get my Jegantha going and use this card:

I can use this to untap Jegantha, only to tap her again, thus having two chances to cast cards that are above my manabase cost as long as Jodah lives.

Great for instants and sorceries.

Greatly weaken your opponent while gaining even more life.

Some possible damage cards: Reckless Rage , Incendiary Command , Subterranean Tremors , Brawl , Arcbond , Chandra's Ignition , Zealot il-Vec , and Channel Harm . Cards that are good to hit: Apex Altisaur , Grothama, All-Devouring , Boros Reckoner , Spitemare . Also, add more Fight mechanics. Super synergistic with Enrage.

First thoughts, be careful with the use of Thought Reflection. Wouldn't want to accidentally mill yourself if you hit Enter the Infinite and they have a way to survive - like say, Urza's Armor, Battletide Alchemist, Chameleon Blur, Channel Harm, Endure... Counterspells are nice, but you may need them to shut down your opponent's combos instead of saving them to save your own combos. You only have 4 guaranteed counters that don't have conditional modifiers after all...

You also might want to include either a method of massive mana ramp High Tide + Palinchron style, or a separate win-condition besides your commander's ability and Psychosis Crawler, something that could get around damage prevention.

Although, feel free to take these suggestions with more than a pinch of salt - I've personally never played Commander so I don't know much more than the fact that only one of each card is allowed... But generally speaking, if you think there's even a CHANCE of ever successfully casting Enter the Infinite, you'd better have a method of guaranteeing you win within a single turn when your entire deck is in your hand. Which means, making sure you have enough mana to cast counterspells, mill, damage, or loop back to the start through Time Reversal for yourself as necessary, even after counting the 12 CMC of EtI. Include at least one combo that acts as an auto-win if they don't have a counter - because with how powerful a card Enter the Infinite is, if they have a counterspell they're going to use it then.

It's definitely an interesting deck idea, but could use refinement still - I definitely think (should you be able to afford them) that Mind Over Matter or Omniscience would be a great addition.

I know you want to go all for the win, but if you want to go a little more aggro deterrent, you might want to surprise people with Channel Harm or Deflecting Palm which are so much fun to play. You might also use Captain's Maneuver if there is infect damage I have always find it useful, also if someone runs Phage

Humility doesn't really solve a token issue. They are likely already relatively small creatures, and the only ways I know of making insanely large tokens is with +1/+1 counters. Humility does nothing to counters.

I am inclined to say just run wraths as well. Comeuppance could possibly wipe one opponent's board, and Channel Harm can only deal damage to one creature (target is picked when it is cast, not when the damage is prevented).

So I was just looking through some boxes of my Commons/Uncommon and I stumbled across Channel Harm. I mean at first glance I was skeptical of it but something sprung out at me. A portion of my meta consists of "Wide" strategies (Trostani, Selesnya's Voice and Hazezon Tamar) so am I wrong here or is Channel Harm a good "redirect" spell for damage in EDH decks that have issues with token strategies? Is there anything that has this effect for cheaper than or is Channel Harm all there is?

Please drop comments and opinions on this card, if you have used it and it was an all star I'd love to hear about the experience, honestly anything helps guys!
