I don't know what this deck archetype is called, but I'm making a deck that is based off of the Zedruu archetype of giving my enemy and/or exchanging with my enemy cards that are harmful to them.

Any cards that are Pioneer legal that fit into this format would be incredibly useful. I'm probably going to need some damage dealers or burn or counter. I don't know if I should stay at 4 mana colors.

If it didn't matter if I had only one blue mana in the MV, and I had a few islands in the deck, I would still need at least one blue mana available to cast at least one card at a time. The point isn't that I can do that, but rather that if I have cards with blue mana in MV I have a way to cast multiple of them with multiple blue lands.

I do have plenty of blue. Almost an entire wedge of 1/3.

Heck yeah, DemonDragonJ! Gargoyles was sooo good. But I don't remember much of it, haha.

Thanks, Gingervitis! That card is definitely better than most of my creature ramping!

Grubbernaut most of those are 1 mana and do not give me any color mana, while all of my ramping is based off of having as many possible any color mana as possible. Usually they're just 1 more MV than your suggestions, so I think they're worth it. Considering this is CMDR and not Pioneer, I think 2 mana cards are useful without costing too much tempo.

I've always envied blue control decks. I've never had the chance to actually play one, so yeah. Oh, and the entire concept of fighting against illusions is pretty awesome.

I would remove Huatli, the Sun's Heart, unless you plan on only using her to make your walls have T=P but still stuck with defender. I mean your blocking attacks would destroy creatures, but nonetheless that's all they would be able to do.

Corrosive_Cat solidarity with cat names! Haha! I would say, and correct me if I'm wrong, that, generally, an enchantment will stay on the battlefield longer than a creature?

My deck is very similar to this!
Perhaps add Moon-Blessed Cleric instead of Secret Door so you can pull a High Alert with turn 3 and casting it on turn 4? Secret Door has defender, which Huatli, the Sun's Heart can't convert. Perhaps Dragon's Eye Savants? Instead of Opt perhaps Azorius Charm? Maybe Lazotep Plating instead of Dive Down? It gives hexproof to all creatures and you as well, not to mention a zombie 1/1.

If this is an actually usable deck, I would find it incredible! Looks fun to make regardless..
