Artificer's Hex and Encrust are two big-time aces in the hole for my haunted house and Briny Deep decks respectively. Very useful and packed with flavor. Roiling Vortex has SO MUCH packed into one little enchantment. The talismans, such as Lapis Lazuli Talisman have been a surprising amount of fun in my antique shop deck... though the activation cost is steep (can be mitigated). Vile Consumption can be devastating, primarily the first go-around after you cast it (because, often, you will immediately be murdered). Those are the first few that jump to mind, but I’m going to go back to see if they actually don’t meet the price restriction... I never know what things are worth nowadays. Alright: post-preview it looks like the tuberculosis tents from the vile consumption are more expensive than I remembered. Sorry about that one. I’ll give a different one for my wubrg natural disaster deck that’s been great: Virulent Plague has gotten a lot more important with all the new cats, dogs, squirrels, citizens, fish, umbrella-elementals, and tentacled-powerstones that people have now. Great thread topic!!

The deck is more of a life gain deck than it is a control deck. You have a lot of removal, but that's all that makes it controlling.

Highest recommended card: Vile Consumption. This card is brutal in this deck if you don't have too many creatures.

Hallowed Burial is a highly underrated board wipe.

Card suggestions: Sphere of Safety, Approach of the Second Sun, Aura of Silence, Austere Command, Cleansing Nova, Damn, Darksteel Mutation, Doomskar, Epicure of Blood, Erebos's Intervention, Ghostly Prison, Infernal Grasp, Liesa, Shroud of Dusk, Narset, Parter of Veils, Propaganda, Rest in Peace, Righteous Cause, Rule of Law, Telepathy, Time Wipe, Trespasser's Curse, Utter End, Venser's Journal, Witch of the Moors

Mean/weird cards that I would probably play: AEther Barrier, Archmage Ascension, Death Match, Lightmine Field, Meishin, the Mind Cage, Overburden, Porphyry Nodes, Spreading Plague, Tainted AEther, Portcullis, Magus of the Moat, Magus of the Tabernacle, Silent Arbiter, Serene Master

*Obviously play what you want

In the games that you've played with Araumi, did you ever feel the need to run any kind of passive defenses like Propaganda? In the games I've played my deck, I've found that Araumi folds against aggro & token decks without removal or passive defense.

I'm currently running Vile Consumption since I have quite a few token decks in my meta, but I'm considering switching it for Crawlspace (since Emry could grab it), or good ol Propaganda.

Ok, makes sense, I've just found Ivory Tower to be less of a removal magnet in my playgroup while accomplishing most of what Venser's Journal does. Beatismcscoots I've been running AEther Barrier, Vile Consumption, Tainted AEther, and Lethal Vapors as more budget creature hate cards in my deck. lethal vapors vapors isn't the best but making people skip their turns is always funny to watch. Just some cards to think about.

Solemnity , after Zur the Enchanter , is the most important card in the deck, as it breaks cards and molds several directions the deck can go

Combo1 Requires Solemnity

Combo2 is using Night of Souls' Betrayal , because I don't know if Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite would be better (I don't lose my lands, but it costs WAYY more mana)

Combo3 Is missing a card that i dont have yet - Aura Thief - . Killing aura thief is really simple in the deck, with outlets like Vile Consumption , Ashnod's Altar or any wrath effect

Cards in the "Other" category are mainly there to help other cards in the deck and possibly mitigate some negative effects from opponents. As an example, Crucible of worlds enhances aura fracture and also is a protection against land hate

I know I have a infinite mana combo in the deck, i Just haven't decided what mana sink to use
