Sideboard

A Grixis control deck that has been in the works for 2 years, inspired by Shota's deck that won the Honolulu std GP in 2017. The deck abuses the triggered ability of Thing In The Ice to keep board control through counter spells and removal while triggering Thing to board reset and kill with attacks and bolts

The deck is designed to play at a medium to slow pace and always taking the defensive option

The spell mana curve is very low as you will want to play a draw or hand hate spell in your turn while saving mana to counter in your opponents. This allows you to flip a Thing by turn 4/5 while stopping your opponent form creating any meaningful board presence. You can then let your opponent play creatures as you will just return them to his hand once you flip your Thing

I come from a small town in Africa so getting hold of the staple cards (thoughseize, bolt, fetchlands ect) is quite tricky, hence I have had to make best of what i can find so many of the card choices are not optimized.
