No Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon or Hand of the Praetors ? I would actually consider Noxious Revival with +1 blessings of nature, then you could bring back a boosting spell on their end step to make them hate the deck even more.

I would suggest removing Blightwidow . Sure it has reach, but that's not the point of your deck. card:Ranger's Guile is a must. I would use 4 Plague Stinger s, 4 Unnatural Predation . Possibly 1 more Wild Defiance and Livewire Lash is another great card to consider. I wouldn't use Virulent Wound or the 4 artifacts you have either. If you can afford it, Inkmoth Nexus are great.

Here is my opinion:

-4 Blightwidow -3 Virulent Wound -3 Contagion Clasp -1 Contagion Engine -1 forest -1 swamp

+1 Flensermite or use 4 Ichorclaw Myr +1 Plague Stinger +2 Necropede +1 Wild Defiance +3 Livewire Lash +1 Unnatural Predation +4 card:Ranger's Guile

I hope this helps.

I really appreciate the input and will more than likely implement some of the changes. The Contagion clasps are a must for me though, I have literally proliferated people to death. I really want to find that Dragon and the Hand of the Praetors cards, as well as Livewire Lash . again thanks for the input... im just sad that this deck will no longer be tourney legal in a few months... Ive had alot of fun with it lol.

I could see how the Contagion Clasp could be a game winner. Hand of the Praetors is good with a lot of low mana infect creatures. I don't go to the tournaments just for that reason. lol... I play in the legacy format, so I usually don't have to worry about cards being banned. If you need anymore suggestions, I will gladly answer. Infect is one of my favorite deck builds. I have extra Hand of the Praetors btw.

@OwnedbyCow do you mind me asking where your from? im in ontario canada lol. Yeah i just got back into the game after quite a hiatus (as my old collection was stolen, then sold by a "friend" of mine XD... bugger) so i still need to find some cards. I really like some of the new stuff though.

I am from North Carolina, US. I am sorry to hear that. I would be furious. lol. I didn't start playing until a few months ago and I have loved it since. I can't wait to get 4 Rancor . I will put my black infect cards on my trade binder, so you can see what I have.

Very cool, I also designed a G/U Infect deck, with a potentially faster endgame. Check it out for inspiration/ideas. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/vitiating/

Forgive me for sounding like a noob but im guessing G/U stands for Green/Unblockable?

Keeshwa says... #11

Green and Blue actually. Because B is black. He recently switched the Black out for Blue and hasn't gotten around to switching the title over I would guess.

a good card to look at for the sideboard would be card:Autumn's Veil to help with targeted removal and control cards.

Giant Growth and Distortion Strike might help this deck a little more :)

resembles mine in a way, though I don't use the miracles. the Mutagenic Growth is exactly what I have been looking for to push my deck back to turn two wins in modern, however, since Invigorate isn't available.

I reccomend Groundswell due to being a little more powerful in the early game.I also reccomend Simic Charm over the Mizzium Skin as it can also give hexproof, with the added bonus of being both removal and a pump spell.

No Revenge of the Hunted as a 1,2-of? The miracle is blowout.

Vines of Vastwood for 2 Green you get +4 +4 hexproof

To speed your deck up you probably need more dual lands, like Breeding Pool and definitely Misty Rainforest to search for Breeding Pool or basic's.

Remand 's are also a nice counter spell.

I'm a bit confused. What's your intended turn to end them? I'm getting 5-6 consistently.

As another commenter suggested, Distortion Strike would be much better than Artful Dodge as it is basically costs half as much and gives creature +1/+0 Otherwise, very cool deck. I am a big fan of infect

@yungxak I have had this deck get wins on between turns 3 and 5 myself but it does take the right combination of cards in the opening hand and certain early draws.

July 1, 2013 2:35 p.m.

Morokai says... #23

those "certain early draws" is made a little more difficult to get due to the relatively high cost spells the deck seems to be relying on. Increasing Savagery mostly happens in the late game, and Blessings of Nature only gives about the same benefit as Groundswell in the end, and that is only if you catch its miracle cost, which is unlikely due to the number in the deck. if you want to rely on miracle cards, I suggest running Revenge of the Hunted alongside it to give a much higher potential of drawing one.

Wild Defiance can potentally hurt the deck speed, turning the deck away from a turn 3 win, even though it might save you from Lightning Bolt and the likein my opinion Phyrexian Hydra is better than the Blightwidow for the late game, which usually finishes off the opponent the next turn in my experience.

and yes, to be effective you need more two color lands. Your budget might not be able to afford it, but you still need them.

Morokai says... #24

alternatively, you can simply cut your losses and just run 1 or 2 miracle cards. if you were to have 8 miracles instead of the 3 that are there now, it would have a higher chance of dead cards in your starting hand.
