Card choices:
Birds of Paradise: I use this as my mana accelerant over Noble Hierarch because flying is often more useful than the exalted trigger, whether it is blocking Delvers, or being equiped with Sword of Fire and Ice and getting hits in.
Sylvan Safekeeper: Basically Mother of Runes five and six. Fights creature removal in a pinch, makes late game land draws not completely dead, and fuels Knight.
Green Sun's Zenith: Duh.
Scavenging Ooze: Late game tank, and great against graveyard based strategies.
Scryb Ranger: Allows for nice combat tricks, especially with Mother of Runes and Knight.
Sylvan Library: This card is insane.
Mother of Runes: Duh.
Swords to Plowshares: Duh.
Stoneforge Mystic: Only running two because it can be a dead draw at times, but having three Jitte/SoFaI in the deck can be useful in certain match-ups.
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben: Amazing card, especially against control decks.
Elspeth, Knight-Errant: Great in the long, grindier match-ups.
Gaddock Teeg: Necessary card, I like to play two in case one gets countered, I can still GSZ for the other.
Qasali Pridemage: Exalted triggers, plus instant speed artifact/enchantment removal, all on a 2/2 body.
Knight of the Reliquary: Duh.
Umezawa's Jitte: Duh.
Sword of Fire and Ice: Protection from blue is great against Delver decks, shocks can help shoot down problem creatures, and card drawing is especially great in grindy matchups.
Sideboard:
Bojuka Bog: Graveyard hate for Dredge and Reanimator. Being fetchable via Knight is very useful against Past in Flames Storm as well.
Choke
: Obvious.
Ethersworn Canonist: Necessary against TES/ANT, also very useful in slowing down Show and Tell combos, usually giving me at least one extra turn to try and hate them out.
Oblivion Ring: There is a lot of Show and Tell being played at my LGS, so this is necessary as a 4-of.
Pithing Needle: Very useful in the mirror match, against any Stoneblade/Deathblade decks, naming Stoneforge, Deathrite, or any piece of equipment. Also needed for the Countertop matchup, for obvious reasons.
Surgical Extraction: Works great against any deck when you want to strip them of essential cards, Brainstorms, FoWs, etc. Can strip out essential cards when Past in Flames Storm tries to go off as well.
