The name refers to the card Tortured Existence and that there is a decent number of multi color cards. Such as Putrid Leech and Rhizome Lurcher. Which makes the deck more midrange. It has a typical BG TortEx shell with Commune with the Gods, Golgari Brownscale, and various toolbox creatures. However it leans more to aggressive creatures.

with Tortured and Brownscale, Putrid Leech is effectively a GB 4/4. Of course pumping the leech isn't always the best plan but dropping it on turn two instead of searching with Commune is highly recommended. Without strong removal or Gurmag the opposition can't effectively handle a recurring 4/4 and there's four of those in the deck.

Lurcher and Moodmark Painter are the undergrowth icing to the deck. Lurcher when it sticks can sometimes win games on it's own. Painter when combined with Carrion Feeder and Tortured can sometimes be the final shot that'll KO the other side.

Sideboard is preped for stopping aerial assaults, control match ups and artifact enchantment hate.

NOTE: I don't have playsets of many cards and my collection is fairly small. I'm trying to keep the deck at GB but I'm open to all suggestions.

UPDATE: Learned a lot over the past couple of weeks. 4x Fume Spitters is the way to go against many tier one decks. Kills Delver and takes out Tireless Tribe. Defiantly need 4x Golgari Brownscale. It's crazy how little you'll see with only three in the deck. Board pressure is key for a lot of matchups. Took out the gold cards and really didn't like the way the games went.
