I built a pretty decent budget defender deck for modern which has been pretty successful against my friends budget decks. Now its time to get some more use out of those Arcades in a new standard deck.

This is my plan so far.....

The deck seems to have gotten a lot better, thanks mainly to High Alert .

Aegis of the Heavens has been cut for Tower Defense for obvious reasons. I cut Anticipate in favour of Incubation / Incongruity as it gives me the flexibility of digging for Arcades, the Strategist or exiling problem creatures.

Saruli Caretaker is no Axebane Guardian but it does allow us to ramp / colour fix which can be a lifesaver in a 3 colour deck.

!!!POST WAR OF THE SPARK UPDATE!!!

Arboreal Grazer possibly edges out Saruli Caretaker maybe but I'm not sure. Huatli, the Sun's Heart for extra High alert/Arcades effect and Teyo, the Shieldmage for multiple wall generations and that sweet hexproof.

Will be doing some testing on this let me know what you think.
