Welcome! (Please note that this description is a bit outdated) If you are unfamiliar with the Martyr Proc strategy, this is its general gameplan: Gain obnoxious amounts of life on turns 2 and 3 with Martyr of Sands to prevent a quick death, control the battlefield with all of your sweepers and spot removal, start forecasting your Proclamation of Rebirth s to reanimate a Martyr or a Kami of False Hope every single turn, and then win in whatever way you want! Overall, I would definitely recommend playing this deck if your local meta has a lot of fast aggro like Burn, Affinity, Infect (surprisingly, Martyr's Infect match is amazing) and Hollow One. However, if decks like Storm, Tron, KCI and Jund are common in your local meta, it might not be as good. Humans and Spirits are also pretty rough as they have a lot of disruption to protect against sweepers and removal, but I am hoping my new addition of Ghostly Prison will help to slow them down enough for you to take over. UW can be a tough matchup but it is definitely winnable if you draw well, and Jeskai should be somewhat easier as they have a lot of bad cards game 1 ( Lightning Bolt , Lightning Helix ) although you do have to be very careful when playing against any control deck as the games can be incredibly close. +1 if you like it, and please leave a comment if you have suggestions. Enjoy! :)
