Legacy Combo Control Counters Mono-Blue

RedFox134 Score: 6

Description

A blue Proliferate deck using Modular creatures from the pre-made transference deck.

The idea is to get out your modular creatures as quickly as possible. While you're doing this proliferate and use Steel Overseer to pump them up. The modular creatures act as your blockers or hitters depending on your opponent, but the two main ways to win are using Triskelion 's ability or smashing into your opponent with powerful creatures.

+1's and any advice is much appreciated!

Updates

Infinite combos :D — Jan. 6, 2013

I added an infinite mill/damage combo to the deck using Triskelion , Scythe of the Wretched , and Grinding Station

Added: 2x Grinding Station , 2x Scythe of the Wretched

Removed: 2x Fuel for the Cause , 2x Arcbound Slith

Speeding it up. — Sept. 7, 2012

This deck is now mono blue. Steel Overseer , Triskelion , and Fabricate have all been added. Swamp , Vault of Whispers , Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas , and Grim Affliction have all been removed.

Splashing Black — Aug. 17, 2012

This might not have been the best move, but at the time I really wanted to add Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas to the deck.

Let's proliferate! — July 13, 2012

The deck is now completely a mono blue, modular, proliferate deck. All control spells have been removed. I'm thinking about splashing black though to regain some control to the deck as I feel vulnerable with out my Counterspells :(

Deck Update — June 25, 2012

I got some better blue control spells and added some proliferate cards to the deck. I also added Tezzeret the Seeker . I have yet to see how much it was worth it.

Modular + proliferate? Good combination!

I think you should add a bit more lands to this deck, I tried to draw a few hands, one of them had 2 Triskelion with no lands and the first land was the 5th draw.

But that infinite mill/damage combo is very clever! It took a few minutes to get it. Nice idea!

As soon as I found out about them I was trying everything to get it to work haha. It runs a bit better in real life as I can mana shuffle it to make sure the lands come out. Plus the Vedalken Engineer s help out a lot with mana.
