Nahiri, the Harbinger is my favorite planeswalker so I was looking for a shell to use her in as soon as pioneer became confirmed. Having played sun and moon extensively, I'm fairly familiar with structuring a R/W control deck. The problem that comes up in pioneer is that the removal options for red and white are significantly worse in pioneer than in modern where-as black keeps most of its powerful removal. The way I'm choosing to supplement that is to play blue in order to gain access to cards like supreme verdict as well as card draw and interaction on the stack from problematic spells. I could definitely see playing nahiri in a mardu shell, however at that point i'd likely have a young pyromancer-centric deck with nahiri being kind of second fiddle. There will be some interesting choices seen in my deck building which are related to the meta at my lgs, such as an emphasis on permanents with greater than 3cmc since abrupt decay is prevalent and often the only level of enchantment removal often seen when i play. The point of this deck is to grind out the opponent and play hard to answer finishers. The number and type of counter-spells to be played would be entirely based on your own meta with cards such as censor being a priority in more aggressive match-ups. The consistency of the mana base is a concern, I haven't fixed it up so the chosen lands are just hypothetical. In a more control/mid-range meta, i would say search for azcanta is a must. If abrupt decay is not prevalent, then you would absolutely play 3mana teferi(It might still just be the right choice anyways, but completely blanking your opponents cards is always fun).
